"First of all, one cannot expect a repair service company to know everything about all makes and models. I did some research on my own and could have spent $600 on parts alone along with the aggravation of the labor. Jim the Service Tech did the analysis and identified the faulty part pretty quickly. Parts were available in the truck and a replacement control board was installed within an hour or so. A fuse had blown on the old control board that kept it from operating. These fuses are soldered to the board. This could have just blown, or it could be from the door being closed too hard too often. We'll be careful from now on for sure! Note: The Techs at Home Systems cover their shoes when entering your home. I was surprised to notice that all tools, cases and parts etc.. were placed on padded mats on the floor to avoid scratches or scuffs. Even on my builder grade 15 year old vinyl floor. This detail was not needed on my old floor but appreciated! I didn't expect Jim to hang out for several hours to wait for a cycle to complete. The washer was filled with a few items then ran that evening. Minor issues occurred. Still not completing. Jim came back and checked his work. Please remember my opening sentence. More research had to be done and third visit was needed to add a part to the control board. After this, our three year old Kenmore dishwasher was happy! All in all we are very happy with Home Systems Appliance Repair. Aside from clean and careful, the Techs are professional and friendly. Issues are explained in understandable terms. The extra visits were no charge. I've been in a service position and appreciated the genuine desire to fix the issue as quickly as possible. Minor complications happen, but it was made right. An A+ job. Thank you!"

What I like about them is that they do get the job done, but what I don't like is that you can describe in as much detail on the website what the problem is. But it's kinda hit or miss on whether they are have the necessary parts to fix the particular appliance. They almost always have to do second call or buy a part. So like with our dishwasher, they came out and sort of diagnosed the problem but they had to get the motor and things so you can be another week or 10 days with out the dishwasher. Which is not the end of the world. I understand why they don't do that because it could be expensive to buy the parts for all of the different machines that you are servicing."

"I was able to schedule an appt very quickly the initial time and the electrician, Danny, communicated with both myself and my tenant, as it was a rental property and arranged a time to stop by that was good for my tenant. The outlet suddenly started working before Danny arrived so when he got there he explained to me that he just made some minor repairs since he didn't know what to do because it wasn't broken at the time. About 10 days later, my tenant called and said that the outlet malfunctioned again. I contacted the company and explained to the person (whom I assume is the owner or manager) what happened and he contacted Danny and was able to get him out shortly after. Danny said he replaced the breaker for me as well as did some other things, which I was kind of lost due to the jargon. Anyway, they said that there will not be a charge the second time, which I really appreciate. Overall, great communication from both the manager/dispatcher as well as the technician, Danny. And they seem like they really wanted to help me resolve the situation as opposed to milking me for more money. This type of honesty in any business is a rarity nowadays."
