"I hired New Edition to repair a flat roof over a portion of the house that has had problems over the last few years. The whole roof needed to be replaced. They offered a 10 year warranty which was a highlight. Following the repair it looked like they did a really good job. They were also very detailed and completed in 1 day and 3 hours instead of 2 full days as originally expected. Following a solid rain the roof was still leaking and they returned to fix within the week. It seems that the roof is good now and doesn?t leak with some general amounts of rain. But won?t really know until we get another good storm in. All in all I am fairly happy. Negatives: 1) After ripping up the roof I was told it would cost an additional $2200 for more plywood. This definitely felt like a contractor sales tactic because if you read the contract the repair of rotten wood was already included. And they had done an assessment of the roof beforehand. Eventually he came down about $1000 realizing that he was completely overcharging. But still did not seem to understand that he if anything he should only be charging for the cost of the supplies ($600) not labor. In the end I accepted only because my roof was already ripped up and what was I supposed to do that at that point. 2) Upon finding that the roof was still leaking, getting in touch with Luis and having him return to repair under the warranty took a lot of effort. I had to call every day to get him to return my calls and schedule."
