"The repairman was on-time and inform me he was on his way. He call me to tell me he was here but looking for a parking space. He came into the house and went right to work. The oven was not working and it took him about five minutes to tell me the problem. He showed me the broken part and the new part and how to tell the difference. I found that to be informative. It took him five minutes to put the part on and oven started working. I never had a appliance repairman complete a job that fast. My oven heat up in five minutes. He came right away because he was headed to another job that was close. He could not get the part. He called 3 supply places to try to find it and could not. "Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."
