"Fernando came by to provide an estimate within a day of the request and completed the job within a week. The work they did removing and replacing the cracked mortar joints was excellent. They completely removed the mortar between the bricks as opposed to just cutting a small area of the mortar out before replacing it with new mortar. The new mortar is much whiter than the old mortar but hopefully the repair will be less noticeable after cleaning the old mortar and exposure of the new mortar to the elements."

"I canâ t wait to work with Mid-Atlantic Concrete again! If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. My husband and I bought a mid-century moder fixer upper home on my block that had outdated, washed out, and ugly vinyl cedar shake siding (see photo). The home interior is absolutely beautiful, but did not cohere with the exterior. We asked several exterior reno/siding companies over the last 3 years if they could replace the vinyl siding with brick. None of the companies (5) could figure it out. Smdh. I knew it could be done. But we did not give up and reached out to Angies List in June. Angies List recommended Mid Atlantic Concrete. Zachary showed up, understood, fully embraced, and made sure my vision was executed. The owner, Jack, was also hands on and made sure every brick was laid impeccably by his expert team which did a did a superior job to whomever the original birck mason were for the lower exterior of the house. Even better, this team had to match the stain of two different color and textured bricks. I didnâ t think it could be done, but yet again they did the impossible when other companies advised it could not be done. Not only did Mid-Atlantic provide superior service, but they did it in record time! Again, I canâ t say enough about this company. I look forward to working with them on future projects. "We met with Glenn and Josh a few times before beginning the project. They had a nice professional proposal and were always responsive on the phone. They preferred phone and mail over email but that was fine with me.   I priced out about 8 different masonry companies since the price for this foundation and slab was all over the map (range from 9k to 24k).  J&G was slightly higher than the lowest company but their customer service, reputation on Angieslist, and responsiveness made us select them.  We had a few weather delays.  Glenn was great at explaining what they were doing and when.  If I asked them to tidy up the site, they took care of it right away.
 
They laid the rebar for the footers and while we waited for inspection, the rain made a big mess of everything.  After waiting for the ground to dry out, they cleaned up the holes and removed all the soft mud.  The rebar was all put back into place and we were able to pour the concrete and have it set up.  We also had a piece of rebar attached to the footer rebar for a footer electrical ground.  Once our electrician comes out, the grounding wire can be tied in to the rebar. 
After that week, things moved a bit faster with building the block walls with anchor bolts, backfilling, adding a load of gravel for grading, and finally pouring the slab.  In their proposal, Glenn had written that they would do the 6" wire mesh in the slab but then proposed having the concrete supplier add fiber reinforcement to the concrete at the plant instead.  The inspector was okay with this change.  My understanding is that while the fiber reinforced concrete is slightly more expensive, it's less labor.
It's been about 3 weeks and we are very satisfied with the work J&G performed.  Other contractors have all said it looks like they did a great job."

The tree service was excellent, however the landscaping had numerous deficiencies. 

To start,  the office manager rescheduled me two times and did not call to notify me.  I actually lost a day at work due to them assuring me they would be there and after I called to find out where they were, they advised me that they were finishing up another job.

Landscaping work was OK, except for the window boxes built in the front of the house were not constructed the same and the front landscaping was very sloppy work.  Mulching in the back of the house was put down sparingly, as I already have weed block showing.
