"I called avila plumbing and heating services and they were able to come out the same day and give us an estimate on replacing our old water main line. They did an amazing job and I would definitely recommend Cayetano and his guys."

"Excellent work completed in less than 24hrs. Wish I?d done my homework for average cost to replace a water heater. $2850 to replace 50 gallon gas water heater seems very steep. "

"After living on the Monterey Peninsula for over 10 years, I finally found a plumbing business that focuses on customer service. As a mature female customer I was treated courteously and professionally, not as if I lacked brain power. The work was done timely in a competent manner. In addition, I wasn’t nickled and dimed to death – many charge at least $100 to just show up, and then the clock starts ticking. A & R Plumbing charges by the hour. Best of all, if a techician doesn’t have a part, there is a person who will deliver it, if available, to the job site. What a concept! This avoids unnecessary return visits and hourly fees, a con job used by other businesses who don’t have enough business. I’m impressed. Jeff, the technician who took care of my problem, is fantastic. I’m only sorry A & R Plumbing doesn’t have an electrical department"

"The person performing the service had to make several trips because one of the "new" parts turned out to be faulty. I found both Complete Protection and their local repair contractor to be both very responsive and totally professional at every stage of the repair process."

"I was worried that we'd have to flush out our sewer line. Nui, who had cleverly fixed a leak for us on an earlier occasion, came promptly. He watched the toilet flush a few times. "The toilet's gone bad," he said. I thought toilets were forever, something like an altar. I thought they could never 'go bad.' But Nui explained that with our hard water, deposits can build up and prevent the water from flowing. He poured a bucket of water into the toilet and it emptied immediately, thus proving his point. I could have him replace the toilet or do it myself, but I'm grateful to have had Nui's common sense to guide me."

"I know others have complained about the price and so I contacted our local water testing company for costs. My local company wanted to charge me for individual testing of all the things Environmental was charging me a flat fee for. With my local company I was well over $600 to cover the same testing Environmental was doing for around $200. They sent me the bottles to ship my liquid in and provided me with a free shipping container to send back to them. I didn't have to pay the return postage. I think the entire transaction from placement on Angies List to a report in my hand was about a week or week and a half. I called the number they gave to have someone go over my report with me, which was great. We did have to mitigate a few issues based on the report. Overall, I am completely satisfied and will probably used them on a  yearly basis or so for our well testing. <br />"

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Marina, CA

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
