"This pro provided useful information via a virtual (online) video consultation. Since this service does not send technicians to the home, they did not do the actual work. I am considering whether to order parts and try to complete the repair myself or under their virtual direction."

"One the three occasions I have used A Plus Appliance Repair, Gerald has been the technician sent to my house.  I'll request Gerald next time I call A Plus.  Gerald had to read the electrical schematic diagram to identify the circuit boards (two of them) that were the leading suspects in my refrig being totally dead.  He ordered two new boards and returned within about two days to install them.  Gerald told me replacing one board - the one that got wet - might fix my refrig, but the second board may have shorted out in the breakdown process and need to be replaced as well.  It turns out my refrig needed only one circuit board replaced.  Had Gerald been a dishonest man, he could have sold me two circuit boards, but he did not.  Same thing happened when he came to fix my washing machine.  The motor had stopped working in the washer.  Gerald got the motor working again and gave me several things to try to restart the motor if it stopped again.  He explained that maybe my motor was dying, but maybe not.  Now Gerald could have told me that my washer needed a new motor and made a bigger profit for his company, but he was honest.
With A Plus, I also experienced quick appointment scheduling and Gerald kept all appointments within the time window.

"I wish I had used these people earlier. I ordered a part for my dryer and was able through their instructional video to fix it myself. Let me tell you I am "mechanically challenged" in just about every way. LOL I may have cut myself through my own stupidity but I did it. it was easy and I did not have to pay a repair man for a simple fix. Thank you so much!"

"

Ray came on a weekend (he comes as fast as he possibly can every time) and diagnosed the problem with the dishwasher.  He couldn't fix it on the spot because it required a number of parts he didn't have. All of the wiring and the computer board in the dishwasher were burned up.  He ordered the parts and replaced them as soon as they came in.

Ray used to work for King Parts and Services and when they went out of business he went into business on his own.  He is very nice, prompt, professional, honest, and knows his appliances.  He has worked on all of mine.  He noticed my icemaker needed cleaning when he was fixing my oven and did that for me gratis.

I called him when my son was going to buy a new refrigerator to get his recommendations!  Who would know better?

I highly recommend Ray when one of your trusty machines goes south.

"They were assigned to my TV repair by Samsung. They called the next morning after my call with Samsung. They made an appointment to come pick the TV up and were on time and very nice. Everything went as planned. As soon as the part came in they repaired the TV. The two workers who came out were very helpful and even hooked up my receiver back to my Tv and surround sound. My TV works like a new one and I would definitely use them again."

FAQs for fridge, freezer or ice maker repair or service projects in Marion, AR

Most ice makers are similar in design, and some parts are interchangeable. However, if your ice maker has advanced filters or special features, it's best to use the same make and model to ensure everything works properly. Ask your appliance repair pro to check your appliance specifications to be sure.

With regular use and proper maintenance, an ice maker typically lasts about four to five years. If you keep up with tasks like changing the filters every six months, you might get up to 10 years out of your ice maker. Address any problems with your ice maker right away by calling an appliance professional to ensure you solve any issues before they escalate, helping to keep your ice maker running smoothly for longer.

Your refrigerator's age plays a big role in deciding whether to repair or replace the ice maker. If your fridge is nearing the end of its average 14-year lifespan, it might not be worth investing in expensive repairs since other parts could fail soon. Getting a diagnosis from a refrigerator repair pro can help you decide what's best.
