"<p>I am writing this recommendation for Procrete and their owner Dave McBride. I decided to engage Dave and Procrete after searching for a hardscape / paver contractor local to my summer house in Margate. There are many contractors who will work at the shore, but my preference was to find a company based in the area vs. an hour away. </p> <p>Dave was very professional in his approach, and consultative. I shared with him what we were looking for, to completely rebuild our back yard, from 50 year old ugly cracked concrete and a chain link fence to a new vinyl fence and pavers.<br></p> <p>We shared our vision, and Dave’s firm provided a sketch of what the back yard could look like with a specific paver design, which we ended up going with – while making a few changes along the way.<br></p> <p>We also had Dave install a built-in gas firepit that has exceeded our expectations. It is now the central point of our new back yard.<br></p> <p>While at it, I also had Dave replace my old cracked driveway with new concrete and pavers for my front walkway. AS his team was already at my house doing a job, the extra cost was not prohibitive.<br></p> <p>My biggest concern going in was using a contractor that I did not have a previous referral for. Dave provided referrals plus a list of properties in the local area that he did work on.<br></p> <p>I must say, the work was top notch and we are thrilled with how our back yard came out. I had no less than 4 neighbors comment on the work they were doing and their commitment to doing a good job vs. a fast job.<br></p> <p>I have been screwed before by contractors that finish the job 80-90% and then never come back to truly complete the job. Dave even came back to finish all of my items on a punch list after the job was done.<br></p> <p>I 100% recommend Dave and Procrete for hardscaping, paver and concrete work.<br></p>"

"This was my second time using A-List Concrete. The outstanding work they accomplished replacing damaged sidewalk sections at my old home made this a no-brainer decision. Ron and his Team did another AMAZING job replacing the damaged concrete walkway at my new home. The workmanship is top-notch and the price was very reasonable. I was really impressed (again) by their attention to detail, including the clean-up. They even carefully replaced the sod pieces on my lawn, in addition to ensuring that my lawn and adjacent driveway was completely clean after the job. I give A-List Concrete my HIGHEST recommendation for ANY concrete work you may need in the South Jersey area."

"I lived in this house for 20+ years. The basement was always damp and at some points flooded. Since the work was done, the basement has been bone dry for 2+ months. I'm still trying to wrap my head around it as I'm so used to the basement being wet when it rains. I'd recommend them to anyone. The crew, headed by Philip, truly worked their butts off. It was heavy exhausting work to excavate and rebuild the basement walls, as well as jack hammering out the concrete basement floor to put in the French drain, pour the concrete, etc. But they took great care & did a fabulous job. They even came and worked on a weekend when we were being threatened with a tropical storm to make sure that the basement was properly secured enough to withstand the storm (which thankfully did not come)."

"They were very organized and prompt with quote and setting up the work date. They replaced an 80 ft sidewalk and replaced a double gravel driveway with a paver border in 4 days. Their price was 1/2 what another local company quoted me. Unfortunately, it got some nicks in the pavers adjacent to the sidewalk. I think the lawn moyer used by the lawn service might have caused it. Would appreciate it if they could see if it could be repaired so it doesn’t deteriorate further. Overall, think their work is excellent, reasonable and would highly recommend them."

"A slight mold problem was discovered in the crawl space as the result of water laying in there.  I called Mr. Felice and he came out and fully explained the process to remediate the problem.  He installed a complete space encapsulaton system (liner and sump pump in the crawl space)  and insulated the crawl space.  He also cleaned out years of debris before he started the work.  The entire job took five days.  All the work was done on time.  The crew was polite and courteous and the job site was left spotless.  I would highly recommend Felice Enterprises to my family and friends."

"We had a new sump pit installed with french drainage put under our basement floor. Great experience start to finish. The sales technician was experienced and knowledgeable in the field of residential drainage. The process was coordinated and explained well to us, and the build team was timely and proficient. Great job!"

"After seeing a half dozen contractors, none of them were a good match for our needs and budget. Where one told us our existing hardwood floor was no good, another said it was great. One contractor went around the house bragging about everything they thought we needed, without listening to our requests and came up with an outrageous estimate three times our budget! We also enlisted estimates from painting contractors, as well as hardwood floor contractors, but trying to arrange around both of their schedules was too difficult. Then we joined Angie's List and soon found Mr. Handy, who had an excellent rating as well as being a full service contractor for both our painting and hardwood flooring needs. From the moment of our first meeting with Derek, the owner of the Mr. Handy company, he impressed us with his genuine interest in doing the work that we needed as well as suggesting great ideas, with the eye of an artist, that were in line with our goals for our house renovation. Then we received his detailed proposal with an affordable price for the entire job, including exact descriptions of the work, material and costs, right down to the price of the flooring nails. On our second meeting, we signed the contract with a deposit. Derek took his time with our many questions and helped us with learning how to choose paint colors for the walls, ceilings and trim of each room. As this is our second home, we were able to turn our house over to Mr. Handy to do all the work within their own schedule between floors and painting which took about 7 weeks to complete. Since we were not in the area, we received periodic updates, although with our work being done during the Spring of 2017, Derek was also busy with power washing work, so it sometimes took a couple attempts to get an update. Midway through the work, Derek recommended that we add the 5" border along all the floors and later that we have the kitchen cabinets painted. While both of these choices added more to the total price, we agreed with Derek and after seeing the completed work, we were thankful that Derek guided us to make these choices which make a big difference in the total look of the house! As for the work that they did, we were totally amazed and completely satisfied!!! They laid the new hardwood floors in the three rooms without hardwood, which matched the other rooms with the original hardwood and then stained all the floors the same color to match old and new. The floors look amazing and in one case in our 10' entryway from the kitchen to family room, they were able to slope the hardwood slightly down between the height difference from room to room, instead of a using a bulky threshold. It looks awesome and feels totally natural. A real work of art!!! They also added a nice wood frame around an interior entrance between the living room and kitchen, at no added cost! The extensive patching, plastering and painting is all first class and looks great, with the wall colors enhanced by flat white ceilings and the glossy white 5" molding around the floors. As with any major job, there were a few minor spots that were missed or something that we wanted changed and Derek always had the crew come back to correct or change anything that we asked until it was perfect. The house has been in our family for over 30 years, now friends and family are totally amazed at the makeover look and quality of the work in our "new" home! Derek and the Mr. Handy crew are true craftsmen and artisans of home renovation and we highly recommend them!"

FAQs for concrete flatwork repair & resurface projects in Marmora, NJ

When evaluating whether patching can address your concrete blemishes, it’s important to assess the extent of the damage. Minor issues such as small cracks or chipped areas may be effectively repaired with patching techniques that restore the surface’s appearance. However, if you notice widespread deterioration, significant cracks, or structural weakening, resurfacing is recommended as a more durable, long‑term solution. A thorough evaluation by a concrete specialist can help determine the best course of action for restoring your concrete to its optimal condition.

The optimal time to resurface your concrete driveway is late spring. This period benefits from warm temperatures and softened ground conditions following winter’s freeze‑thaw cycles, ensuring that the new overlay bonds securely and matures to a durable finish. Resurfacing at this time also enhances your property's safety and curb appeal. Engage a concrete professional to schedule your project during this ideal season.
