Oh they know what they’re doing all right. The owners are hands on—Sr. will drive a compactor while Jr. rakes hot asphalt with his shirt off. Their work ethic is a thing of beauty. When afterward I pointed out a small area that I wished we’d approached differently, Ed Sr. eagerly insisted on returning and blended hot asphalt to suit my preference at no additional charge. Our driveway looks stunningly beautiful, and is built to last. Hopefully Ed Sr. won’t meet his maker for at least 30 more years.
