"Jim is very handy and has helped me with multiple projects in my house! He has done wainscoting for me, added crown molding to my cabinets, hung light fixtures, painted my house and has worked on my car. He is polite and get the job done!"

"I had Local Handyman help me with a long list of “to do’s” I had been avoiding. They helped me with multiple interior and exterior projects. Their communication from beginning to end was fabulous. They helped me evaluate the scope of the work against other bids I received. Their work was professional, their men arrived on time and they completed everything in a timely and quality manner. I will hire them again."

"Kenneth was very professional. Arrived on time and focused on the work at hand. Put together a desk with drawers, an office chair and a recliner. He was very respectful, cleaned up, broke down the boxes. and took the old furniture to the curb. I was very satisfied with his work and would highly recommend him for any handyman projects."

"Justin came out quickly when asked to look at our job and spent a couple of hours investigating the scope well before we had a contract or proposal. The work was done as quickly as sourcing the materials would allow. Justin made helpful suggestions for the execution of the construction but was careful to follow our plans and talk through anything that might need to change or could be a problem. We adjusted the original proposal to fit the final scope of work and reached a number that worked for both parties."

FAQs for handyman service projects in Maryland Heights, MO

Winterizing shields your home’s structure and key systems from snow, ice, and freezing temperatures. By sealing drafts and tuning up heaters, you cut energy waste, extend the life of appliances and windows, and avoid surprise repair bills. A small up-front investment keeps rooms cozy and protects the value of your biggest asset all winter long.

Yes, it’s important to prepare your sprinkler system for the winter. Blowing out the lines and insulating above-ground parts keeps valves and pipes from splitting when temperatures drop. A quick winterization visit costs far less than repairing burst components in spring, and it ensures your lawn--and your wallet--stay in good shape once the thaw hits.

A full home winterization plan goes beyond sealing windows and pipes. You might schedule a home energy audit, cover outdoor furniture, service the snowblower, swap smoke-detector batteries, add outlet gaskets, and hang storm doors. Each step beefs up your home’s protection, cuts drafts, and lowers the chance of costly cold-weather damage.
