"I have dealt with many companies in both business and/or my personal life, but have rarely met anyone like Wyatt or his son in the capacity of a contractor. Both were extremely personable and also professional in their respective positions. Sometimes the people involved really do matter because you do need to trust someone in your home. I don't think I would let someone else install my carpet. This company gave me multiple options on what I needed and various price ranges. Best price of anyone AND excellent job done. I've had bad carpet done and I have had good carpet done before finding Wyatt's Professional Flooring. Thank heavens Im back to having nice carpet again, one of my best 2019 decisions. The new carpet is 45 days old and it looks like it did on day ONE, with two toddlers, an 11 year old boy and three adults all over it, daily. Good quality carpet and padding plus installation is very nice. Great Company and I highly recommend both service and materials. Will use this company again to finish up the house. Thank You Wyatt's Professional Flooring!!!!"

"Shawn was excellent. You deal directly with him through the whole process. He came out next day after i called him and measured the room and showed me samples. He carefully measured the steps so each step had the carpet correctly installed as the width varied a bit on mine. The whole process from first visit to completion was less than a week. I bet i would still be waiting for a first visit with one of the big box stores. Highly recommend and would use again if I need carpet again."

"Used Angie's List coupon. Worth the drive to Laurel from Owings Mills. Owner himself came out to measure and give estimate. Please keep in mind that if you have, say, a 1000 square foot space to cover and there a number of rooms and closets and hallways and zigs and zags that add up to 1,000 square feet and the price is $1.00 per square foot, your cost will not be $1,000. Carpet is sold and installed by the roll, which maybe 12 or 15 feet wide. If there are a lot of corners and things to cut out and around then you will pay for that waste. I ended up with several seams (which are invisible) because the owner when measuring and determining the estimate used a more economical method in terms of material required, but it meant a little more work for the installers and saved me money. The installers themselves were punctual and efficient. Installing carpet is hard work. As mentioned there were a couple more seams with my installation but they were handled well and wouldn't be noticed even if they were pointed out. The carpet was a low level Mohawk product, but so far I have less than no complaints. It looks great and definitely will add value to my condo. I would not hesitate to use PriceCo for any future flooring needs."

"Jeff is THE BEST!  We have a rental home and used Jeff's services in 2011.  We were so impressed with the job he did, we called him again in 2012 but, alas, he was off protecting our country.  We had to use another carpet cleaner who did not do such a great job.   Now we are putting the home on the market and the carpets were again FILTHY.  We called Jeff who is back home safe and sound and, lucky us, was available to once again do miracles on our carpets, 2 dining chairs and a window covering.  Seriously, we thought we'd have to replace some of the carpet, but Jeff was able to make it look fabulous.  We HIGHLY recommend Jeff.  You won't be sorry!  In fact, you'll be ecstatic. <br />"

"We are moving unexpectedly and needed new carpet before selling. They were able to schedule me, had the right product, and installed it one day. Everything was done to our satisfaction and the overall service was fantastic."

"I HAVE HIRED ULTIMATE CARPET CLEANERS TWICE TO HAVE MY CARPETS CLEANED. THEY ARE A SMALL COMPANY, BUT GIVE THE BEST SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD. THEY ARE HONEST ABOUT ANY PROBLEMS THEY MAY HAVE. ONE SPOT ON THE CARPET WAS NOT OUT COMPLETELY, AND THE OWNER, STEPHAN, NOT ONLY TOLD ME ABOUT IT, BUT TOLD ME WHAT TO DO THE NEXT DAY TO COMPLETE THE CLEANING AND LEFT A WHITE TOWEL TO DO IT. THAT IS REAL SERVICE!"

"Adan and Hugo, the technicians, arrived promptly at noon (my designated window was noon to 3 p.m.). Both of them have been here before but we walked through the house so that I could show them some areas that might need special attention. They started their work promptly and finished in an hour and a half. Adan and Hugo were very courteous and professional, as always. After they finished, Adan told me about some areas where there are more permanent stains, some discoloration on the stairs, and some wear on the downstairs carpet, all of which I appreciated. He recommended cleaning the rugs at least once a year so that traffic patterns and stains don't set in. Adan reminded me that the carpets can be a little slippery until they start to dry out and to let them dry at least 6-8 hours before setting furniture on them. It's easy to schedule an appointment with the company through Lois who is also very courteous and professional. Normandy has cleaned my carpets twice and also did an excellent job on an emergency clean when we spilled hot coffee on the very light wool rug in the master bedroom. They have also cleaned three silk upholstered living room chairs (which Adan also recalled doing) and did a great job. I would highly recommend them as an excellent, professional, and reasonably priced service."

"We met Randy at the Crofton showroom. He quickly found that we had found them on Angie's list and were making our first ever carpet purchase. He gave us what he called "Carpet 101" so that we had the knowledge to make an intelligent carpet purchase. Over the next 3-4 days, we decided on a great carpet that fit our budget. Randy worked hard to help us find the right carpet for our home and gave us a great price. Workers showed up on time the morning of install and were done by early afternoon. We've had the carpet now for 3 weeks and are very happy with the purchase."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Maryland-line, MD

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
