"PlumberPro service was excellent in the replacement of our water heater. Josh and Ray were completely professional. They took away the old heater and installed its replacement in short order. We are thrilled to find a plumbing service that we will happily use again in the future!"

"<p>We noticed a spot and, later, a hole in the ceiling above our entryway caused by something above leaking.  Also, my wife wanted the faucet in one bathroom changed so it would match the new bathroom light and other fixtures we were installing.  John took care of that for us.  He inspected the two toilets and found the one above the entryway had a wax ring that had dried out and needed to be replaced and the other needed the seals replaced where the tank attached to the toilet bowl.  He replaced the wax ring and seals.  When replacing the wax ring John identified another problem where the plumper who installed the drain pipes used a glue to join the pipes together that was not designed nor approved for that purpose.  He could not be certain it wasn't the pipe that was leaking without cutting a hole in the ceiling below the toilet to inspect the rest of the plumbing.  He told us to wait to repair the ceiling until we were certain the leak had stopped.  At first we thought the problem was resolved, however, discovered we still had a leak.  We will schedule John to return to cut an access opening in the ceiling so he can fully inspect the plumbing to the upstairs bathroom and determine the root cause of the leak so it can be repaired.</p> <p>We called John for the repairs, as he had replaced our two water heaters on a previous job.  We found him to be extremely knowledgeable, professional, honest, and reasonably priced.  On both occasions, John was very thorough, explaining in simple terms what the problems were and his recommendations on how best to resolve the problem.  With the water heaters, he explained the pros and cons of various models to include the volume of hot water needed to meet our needs and those of any future home owners, and the cost for each to purchase and operate.  This allowed us to make the best decision of which model to purchase. It was obvious the was not only interested in doing the job right, but also in trying to save us as much money as possible.  His advice to wait on repairing the ceiling has now saved us money by avoiding having to repair it twice now that we know it is still leaking and he will have to cut a hole in the ceiling to find the source of the leak and repair it.  Had he done that on the original visit, it would have cost us more to repair a bigger hole, plus his labor had he checked things out only to find the leak had been resolved.  I will definitely be using John for all or our future plumbing needs. I have already referred several friends to him.</p> <br />"

"What an awesome company. We had a slight leak coming down to the first floor from the upstairs toilet so we thought it would have been something serious. So we called Grayson Plumbing. Jerry walked me through a few things to check and realized that it might have just been an overflow. So we will just monitor for now. I am very grateful he took the time to walk me through how to check the issue myself vs charging an unreasonable fee for something that was a simple issue. Will definitely reach out for future jobs."

"Carson Plumbing hit it out of the park on Friday morning. A-team was sent to do the repair. Tim clearly explained and demonstrated the problem and the issue was repaired without incident. I appreciated the attention to detail and thoroughness in performing the service. Not only was the problem diagnosed and treated with perfect knowledge and skill, the work area was cleaned and the lights were even turned off afterward. WOW!!! I was also given recommendations on how to prevent future problems! When I think of Carson Plumbing, these words come to mind: knowledgeable, trustworthy, respectful, professional, detail-oriented, confident, efficient, thorough; SHINING STARS. KUDOS to this organization for hiring the best people. Thank you to Tim and company!! I give Carson my highest of recommendation. A++++++"

"Provider was responsive to request for service appointment.  Didn't have required part to effect repair, so went to Hom Depot to get it.  Charged an additional $175+ above voucher cost.  I haven't had plumbing work done for a very long time, so I'm not familiar with then current costs.  However, it seemed a little overpriced. <br />"

"So, a couple of months ago, our septic system was occasionally backing up. The system is about 30 years old---I called several companies that service north Gwinnett; this company was the best in terms of experience and professionalism. Steve and Amanda your initial contact people (with a nod to Alan from the past); and they walked us through the analysis and process of what was to be a new drainfield. So that you know, that if you have to do this, it will take some weeks to make it happen, because there needs to be an official soil sample and then a review by the County at beginning and end; this team of people walked me through my options and helped to set up these inspections, and eventually they sent out a team to do the work: ask for Joseph. Again, all of these people spent the time to go into details and options. The work took about 6 hours, the mounds of red clay were smoothed out, and now good to go for another 30 years likely. Their prices were competitive with all the other bids I got---because yes this is not inexpensive as you might imagine. If you have an old system, be proactive or you may pay much much more if you wait. Great company."

"It worked out well.  We’ve used numerous plumbers since we took this home. We were pleased. The cost was a little bit higher than an estimate we received from another plumbing company but otherwise, we were very pleased. They were professional and did everything they said they would do. We’ve had no issues so we were pleased."

"Beautifully! Eli and his assistant came to work for us on time after providing us with a quote we couldn’t refuse. He was kind enough to also pick up the tile we purchased from the supplier as well as other materials. Eli was very helpful in helping us decide on a grout color which could be tricky seeing the kind of purpose for this room. Nonetheless, the job was done to perfection in just two days and we are extremely happy with the final outcome. The room has been painted since then and we are up and running. I would highly recommend Eli for any of your floor tiling needs! Great job!"

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Maxeys, GA

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
