Other aspects of the job (electrical, plumbing, doors...), while not as obvious were done to the professional standards that should be expected. For a variety of reasons, the job took a bit longer than we expected but we never felt that the company did not make us a priority. They worked steadily and coordinated the use of specialty workers so there was little down time while waiting for one of the subcontractors to do their job. This was a job that we considered to be long overdue for our house and now that it is done we wonder why we waited so long. "Entire experience from start to finish was excellent. Company representatives were all friendly and professional. Services were performed in a very timely fashion. I am not sure how many local companies have much experience with soapstone, but these guys definately did. They had the soapstone in their inventory, which I liked. I didn't pick out the specific slabs, but I did view their slabs in the wharehouse. I was very pleased with how the countertops turned out. A lot of granite companies say they have experience with soapstone but I'm not sure they really do."

"My wife and I wanted new hard woods in our house but had very specific requirements that we could not typically find locally.  My wife wanted a dark floor while I wanted extreme durability in a natural hard wood.  We did our homework and decided that Brazilian Walnut (Ipe) most closely matched what we wanted.  <br /> After looking locally for something that fit the bill, the flooring we found was either over $12 sq/ft (too expensive) or not dark enough.  I started searching on-line and ran across Brazilian Direct.  Their prices seemed reasonable (a bit over $6 sq/ft for what we wanted) and they even had a tinted (dark) version of the floor we liked. <br /> After several weeks of questions and further research, we decided to place an order.  We we worked with a representative named Sannon who helped us every step of the way.  She sent us samples, instructions, guides - everything to make us more comfortable about our eventual order.  Our order came right on schedule and the wood was really beautiful.  After several weeks of the required acclimation we had a local installer put the floor down.  They did an excellent job and we really love our floor.  There was very little waste and in fact we had at least 3 boxes left over. <br /> I highly recommend Brazilian Direct.  We are considering using them again for a deck project we'd like to do in the future. <br />"

He is very knowledgeable and talented.Even though the kitchen is not done, we have received many compliments about the design and cabinets. Our project is moving slowly due to weather and other circumstances. We are able to use all appliances and sink in the kitchen while we are on hold."
