We'd had another estimate that was more and then found out they would charge us several hundred dollars more to the old fence torn down and hauled away. Diamond's estimate included tearing down old fence and hauling away. The very next day, Bill called to see if we were happy with the job or if there were any problems. "<p>The existing stairs and landing were starting to crumble and needed to be replaced.  Ron came out and gave an estimate that was in the middle of the estimates that I got.  He also impressed me with his knowledge and professionalism so I went with him even though he was scheduled 3-4 weeks in advance.  We were able to schedule around a business trip that I had.  The crew was hard-working, courteous and knew what they were doing.  The only slight negative was that the work took a day longer than estimated (three days instead of two) but the price was the same -- I just had to work from home an additional day.  I've received compliments on the stairs and would consider Ron for other work.  While he was here we informally discussed options/costs for a retaining wall and patio pavers.</p> <br />"
