"Jay’s Handyman was very professional, clean, fast and the price was very reasonable. He called the same day and made an appointment for an estimate the same day I opened this project on Angi. He came to power wash my cement apron in front of my garage, front steps, sidewalk and platform the very next business day. He did such a great job I had him do my entire house, side and back siding, bricked front, garage doors, cinder blocks, back porch and driveway. If I could give him a rating of 1000 I would. No doubt I would recommend him to my entire neighborhood. That’s just what I am going to do. I got several of his business cards to give my neighbors, friends and family. Please hire him you want be disappointed."

"EXCELLENT!!! Based on other reviews, I reached out to Paradise to troubleshoot an issue with flickering lights. I was shocked when Tim offered to troubleshoot the issue for free, despite estimating it could take 1.5-2 hours. Tim was prompt (even called to let me know he was running a few minutes late), wore a mask (COVID), was courteous, and determined the issue really quickly. He entertained answering all of my electrical questions, came up with the best path forward to resolving the issue, and provided a very reasonable quote for repairs. I will definitely be having him complete the recommended repairs! It is hard to find tradespeople like Tim in DC; available, knowledgeable, friendly, and, most importantly, a professional who takes pride in his work. If you have a need for an electrician, you must call Paradise Construction."

"We have used this contractor several times in the past and his service has recently been declining. This last time we were really disappointed. He quoted a price for the above work and completed about 75% of it. We paid him in full and then he did not come back. When we asked him when he was planning on finishing the work he was unresponsive. When we finally got in touch with him he said he was booked up for the next week and wouldn't be able to finish the work.  (He left a room unpainted, caulking incomplete, paint tape and tools out, and didn't power wash a door. We also had paint splatters from some painting that he did complete on a darker colored wall.) As I said before, he was usually very professional so this time we were disappointed. <br />"

Used kiln dried fir wood as opposed to wet pine you typically purchase at the local home improvement stores. <br /> Double K also installed fire blocks (not in original scope of work) that were necessary to pass the local framing permit inspection. Neal was very helpful assisting me with my design concepts and provided solutions to some design flaws that did not occur to me until he pointed them out. I would like to also add the drywall contractor asked me who did the framing because he was very impressed with the workmanship. I would use Double K Contractors Inc. again.
