"Iâ m in complete disbelief of the rest of the reviews here as they are complete opposite of our experience. Our bathroom remodel was 2+ months behind on completion (technically what we originally requested was never completed as we were upsold on a glass shower enclosure that never happened. With some bullsh&* story as to why. They did refund the cost of enclosure however because my dumb self jumped the gun and paid them in full ahead..) So at that point they got paid and very very clear did not give AF after that. These folks claim to be soup to nuts remodelers and handle everything. I would assume competence in most of these trades and maybe one thatâ s a specialty? Maybe Iâ m wrong. Either way not the case. The tile is atrocious, literally wavy floor, the shower tiles we were convinced to order a bigger version of, (undoubtedly so they had less tile to hang,) is also crooked and off plane looking down or across the walls they are 1/4â out of flat all over the place. They reframed the room from scratch and werenâ t going to insulate until I mentioned. The walls and ceiling are out of square. Yes itâ s an old house. However you can true the walls if theyâ re opened up and you have half an idea what youâ re doing. Iâ ve done it elsewhere in the house. Iâ m a chef and can accomplish it. For 18k they should very well be able to as well, claiming to be pros. The drywall was never skim coated so it was half finished to an abismal quality or lack thereof, again Iâ ve done better on my own, and it wasnt even primed. They never even asked for a paint color but professionally you prime so the owner only has to paint and it seals the work you did, itâ s regular practice. The plumbing leaks in the sink even after having them back to repair. The shower light was wired wrong. After specifically requesting before the demo even started that we had light and fan wired separately. Again, something I have accomplished on my own and isnâ t impossible. So in short, the tile work is trash, the plumbing leaks, the electric is wired improperly, the carpentry is sad to say the least, fixtures are falling off. All within 18 months for 18k+. Swell! Really great guys! ð The medicine cabinet ordered before the demo started and sat here the whole time, we were told wouldnâ t work after they sheet rocked over the old opening, not looking at what had to go there, so they didnâ t want to redo it and told us to order a mirror (, because they didnâ t plan their project properly weâ re out a medicine cabinet while weâ re already tight on storage.) Tile was so bad I made them come back and fix the floor in front of toilet. I told them I wouldnâ t sit on a toilet everyday and look at that work knowing I paid 18k for it. When he did come fix it he did it with mid matched grout so itâ s just as bad. Shower shelves are now falling off. The ceiling tape and wall drywall tape are peeling off because they werenâ t skim coated and the vent fan we requested to vent outside has the hose just thrown in the ceiling because they couldnâ t be bothered. So the fan is pointless and the rooms still steams up. Theyâ re pathetic. These guys are scam artists, thieves, and a bad showing for the rest of the hard working ladies and gentlemen in the trades that are worth your money. I wouldnâ t have razzano touch someoneâ s house I didnâ t even like for free. Half star is only because zero isnâ t an option. My money wouldâ ve been better spent on a lobotomy."

Verbal agreement, on time and fixed the spring. Minimal charge. I will definitely be using Armagh Carpentry for future projects."

"It took longer than expected to complete the job, due to the walls in my space being bowed. But I am very pleased with the way it turned out. Would recommend them to anyone who needs their bathroom remodeled."

Truly felt he had a bested interest in success."

Your galley kitchen needs adequate clearance around any island installation to maintain functionality. Most galley kitchens lack sufficient width for traditional islands, as these layouts prioritize efficiency in smaller spaces.
If your kitchen has an unusual width, consult with a kitchen designer who can evaluate your specific dimensions and recommend appropriate solutions. For narrower spaces, consider alternatives like rolling carts or narrow work tables that provide additional surface area without permanently restricting movement.
Kitchen remodels require six to 10 weeks for completion, though timelines vary based on project scope and material availability. Simple updates like cabinet refinishing and countertop replacement might finish within a few weeks, while comprehensive renovations involving structural changes often extend beyond two months.
Planning stages add approximately four weeks before construction begins. Maintaining clear communication with your contractor and ordering materials early helps prevent unnecessary delays.
Common errors include insufficient clearance between opposing countertops, inadequate lighting that creates shadowy work areas, and poor storage planning that leaves countertops cluttered. Some homeowners select oversized appliances that overwhelm the space or invest in expensive features that don't address fundamental workflow issues.
Careful planning, accurate measurements, and consultation with experienced professionals help avoid these pitfalls and ensure your renovation successfully addresses your kitchen's specific challenges.
Whether expansion makes sense depends on your home's layout, your budget, and your long-term plans. Combining a galley kitchen with neighboring spaces creates more open, flexible layouts that many buyers prefer. However, removing walls involves substantial costs, particularly if they contain plumbing, electrical systems, or structural elements.
Sometimes, optimizing your existing galley layout through better storage solutions and lighting proves more cost-effective than expansion. Consult with a contractor to evaluate specific costs for your situation.
Effective galley kitchen lighting combines multiple sources to eliminate shadows and create visual spaciousness. Overhead fixtures provide general illumination, while under-cabinet lighting illuminates work surfaces directly. Consider recessed ceiling fixtures that don't protrude into limited headspace.
Lighting with dimming capabilities allows adjustment for different activities. Reflective surfaces like glass tile backsplashes or glossy cabinet finishes help bounce light throughout the space, reducing the corridor effect common in galley layouts.
