They documented these via multiple photos taken on site which they subsequently emailed to me. Andrea and Reiner provided a detailed estimate, along with an approximate (but accurate!) time frame for when the custom-ordered chase would arrive. Shortly after it came in, they returned and did the repairs. They provided me with photos that they took as they did each step of the repair process and we reviewed these after they completed the work so I understood exactly what they did and why. "This is the second time I have hired Rick with Top Cat Roofing. He reroofed my previous home in 1999 after Hurricane Erin. His work is impeccable. My previous home had a few inspections by Citizen's Insurance reps, and by two home inspectors. All commented on what a great re-roof job for this previous home. <br /> When my new home needed a re-roof, there was no doubt that Top Cat Roofing would be the one I would call. I also wanted hurricane straps retrofitted to the rafters of my 60-year-old home. He installed the and quot;peel and stickand quot; water barrier before the shingles. In order to retrofit the roof rafters for insurance approved tie-downs, he had to remove all the old plywood soffit. He knew how many tapcons and nails to use for each tie-down, and encouraged the Wind Mitigation Inspector to stop by to see the finished strapping before he installed the new vinyl soffit so that the inspector could get a thorough look at the final product. <br /> Where he found soft or rotten wood, he replaced it before applying the water barrier and shingles. He also pointed out that my porch overhang was not level and was starting to collapse. The old posts were barely connected to the concrete slab. Rick reconstructed a major portion of my porch overhang and supporting posts, using tongue and groove wood, as was used in the original construction. He personally does all the finishing work. <br /> The neighbors are in awe of the fantastic look of this 60-year-old home with its new roof, facia, and soffits. You won't get a more detailed final product. Needless to say, the re-roof passed the 4-point and wind mitigation inspection with flying colors. <br />"
