"I contacted Jackson and Company to obtain
a quote; Mr. Jackson contacted me within a few hours! Rick was polite and very
professional during our conversations. He came out to see the cracks to ensure
that my quote was accurate, especially since I had explained that someone had
attempted to "repair" the cracks previously. Rick arrived promptly at
my home and reviewed my situation. He answered all of my questions and
addressed all of my concerns. He also explained that his work would be covered
under a transferrable warrantee! I had several other quotes however no other company
offered any type of warrantee.
Rob arrived on time to do the job. Rob
was so nice and professional; I was greeted with a smile and a handshake. I
really wanted to see the process and he took the time to explain each step to
me. He worked tirelessly to clean up the mess of the failed ?repair? I could
not believe how much better it looked! He then proceeded to perform the repair allowing
me to watch and take pictures, it?s quite the process. He left both areas that he

"The work itself, the actual basement waterproofing appears to be working but our flood season hasn't come yet so, I'm reserving judgement. But, the way the work was done was a problem and the initial way that they got with the problem wasn't satisfactory. Eventually, months after work I did get some resolution but is wasn't a smooth transaction. We moved some of the finished portions of the basement to do their work and the way that that was handled was very sloppy and rushed, and very expensive to repair. And then, when the initial point of having somebody come and look at all my questions, it was not the owner, it was his foreman and it was not dealt within a professional manner. After 2 contacts, tried to explain what the problems were and has offered that they have an annual service to make sure that everything is working and there's a fee for that, though he offered 2 years of that with no cost, so that was a nice gesture. He tried to make up for the problems but like I said, there were problems."

"Colonial Restorations was superb.   Our family very much enjoyed working with Brad Green and Tom Green.  

At the outset, they made thorough assessments of our family's barn, identifying several problem areas and offering multiple proposals for how best to address each (including strategies and estimates).  They walked through the different proposals with us, addressing all questions and discussing different options.  This was extremely constructive and important to the process. 

They demonstrated very clear understanding of post-and-beam wood construction.  They displayed great expertise in working with wood (white oak, red oak, hemlock) and with the tools, jacks and cribbing needed for this work.  They worked carefully, always putting in place the necessary jacks and cribbing in advance of each phase of this project.

They were clear about their schedule and were very responsible about communicating with us.  If there were a day that they would not be on site, they let us know ahead of time.  With the exception of a snow storm and an illness, they were on site five days a week from the first week in January till the second week in February, 2016.  

By the completion of this project, Colonial Restorations had made significant and important structural repairs to our barn.  This work was done with care, craft, accuracy, and to code.  (All elements of this project were examined and passed by the building inspector.)  Most important, these repairs respected and worked with the existing structure and materials of the barn.

"I have 18.5 acres of undeveloped land in New Hampshire that had been "select cut" for timber years ago. It was left with stumps and debris mixed in amongst ledge and a lot of sloped ground. Jon from Spike Inc was able to clear a homesite from this mess, and plan for an ICF home to be built in this rugged terrain. Along the way Spike Inc has helped me to overcome many obstacles while completing the following: -trenching 680+ feet of underground electrical line and installing the pipe to hold it, and building the pedestal and transformer required by the electric company -trenching and installing a water line to the foundation site from a well -build a new driveway to the homesite again battling ledge and sloped ground -rough out the septic area and plan for install -oversee the planning and building of an ICF structure(footing in place) The Spike Inc crew has worked on the property at different points during this year and overcome one of the rainiest summers in New Hampshire history. Jon and the Spike crew were flexible and accommodating so that I could be present during almost all of the work. It has been awesome to be a part of the whole process.
