"they were very prompt and professional to visit and do the free estimate. They took a bit longer than anticipated to build the fence, and the sales person completely detached from me once the contract was signed. There was no follow up from him or the company as of the status of the installation unless I initiated it with a phone call. They gave me a day's notice as I requested, but I think I only knew they were coming because I asked. <br /> The day of the job, two men showed up, but a couple hours later I realized there was only one man working. I came out to bring him water and found out the other person was only there to help deliver the material, but he would be working alone because his assistant was hurt on a job recently and is not back yet. For this reason he took a day and a half to finish (which I think was remarkable), but he said under normal circumstances they would have been done in a day for sure. <br /> The gentleman was attentive, courteous, and certainly a hard worker.  <br /> When he finished, there was a lot more lose dirt around the site than I anticipated, but I have to assume that if two people were working, the site would have been left much cleaner, so I don't hold this against him. Overall, I think he did an excellent job. The fence is very straight and looks very neat. They used stainless steel on the gate locks for durability, which is a plus.  <br /> I got a quote from another company for this same job, and a third one that I made an appointment with never showed up for the estimate. SFR offered a competitive price against the other, about $400 less. I am not overly excited and impressed by their customer service, but I would hire them again if I needed this type of service. <br />"

The privacy a fence is beautiful. It made such a difference in the front of the townhouse. Their work was very neat, and compIeted in a timely manner. "Durham & Sons put in my last HVAC system over 12 ears ago and I've had a service contract with them. Recently a $2000 part went and I verified that replacing it was not a good investment given the system's age. They took the time to explain options in detail. As luck would have it, the pandemic and factory issues made finding the desired replacement units a real challenge. But these guys really stepped up to the challenge. Besides temporarily installing 4 window units to hold us over, they were creative and persistent and found what was needed. Their crew did impeccable work taking out the old system and replacing it, really going above & beyond. This is a family owned company with high standards and they can be trusted to steer you right and be 100% professional."

"I've used this company several times over the last 3 years.  They do beautiful work and are extremely nice.  They also have lots of good design ideas.  However, they are very very slow.  I waited months for product and when I (frequently) called they either didn't return my calls or wouldn't confirm a delivery date.  I had to go to their office to get a real answer on 2 seperate occasions.  <br /> <br /> If you use them-discuss the time frame and hold them to it.  Also, be there when they install-there was lack of communication between the ordering and the installation on 2 parts of the job.  The wooden fence would have been put in the wrong place if I hadn't been there to correct them and the metal fence would have been installed incorrectly as well."

"They responded very quickly. The job was done in a timely fashion despite the backup from the hurricane. The installers were professional and friendly. They consulted us often about how we wanted things done, plants that needed cutting back etc. The fence looks beautiful and we love the new gates, we added a large gate so that the large ride on lawn mower will fit. Excellent quality and fair price. Also they back up their product, told us to call if we had any concerns in the future. Great job done by a very Professional company!"

"Matt's response was swift. He came and assessed the work that needed to be done and gave what we found to be a fair estimate. Shortly after returning to his office he called back to inform us that he would lower the price because he found that he had a dumpster available for the rubble. As it was a relatively small project he brought an additional worker. Before starting the demolition they searched along the perimeter of the concrete for the presence of lines or pipes. After ascertaining that it was clear they proceeded to cut the concrete into smaller blocks in a professional and efficient manner. No cracks were created in the concrete that remained . They cleared the area of all debris and left it looking nice and clean. They even graciously consented to remove some broken stepping stones that were in the backyard. We were very impressed with their workmanship and the cleanly cut edges of the concrete. Now the landscaper can proceed to putting in sod as there was no appreciable delay because of the quick response. We will have a backyard to be proud of."
