"From start to finish, Wiedmann Roofing did an amazing job of replacing a new roof on our home. If you're looking for the best engineered roof, most efficient service and fairest affordable price, this is the place to go. While replacing our soffits and fascia (different project), the contractors discovered that there was a significant amount of deterioration in some of the roof frame, which would have to be replaced before they could complete the job. To help us through this unexpected emergency, the folks at Gutters Unlimited (equally amazing!) contacted Wiedmann to see if they could get a crew out to give us an estimate for the repair. Joe B contacted us and came out to inspect the damage and discovered that there were a number of other problems with the existing roof that should also be addressed (e.g. no metal channels in the roof valleys). He gave us an estimate for the repair as well as an estimate for a complete replacement. The cost of a new roof was about four times the cost of a repair, so we decided to get a new roof. Definitely the right decision. Joe B gave me a detailed scope of work that showed exactly what I would be getting, including Tamko Titan 160 mph Shingles (39 squares), new drip edges, new goosenecks and ventilation stacks, peel and stick underlayment, replacement fascia wood and plywood, and of new valley metal--all top-of-the-line stuff. He was able to schedule the start date within two weeks of contract signing. Work began right on time and was done quickly and professionally in about three days. There was a fair amount of wear and tear to a lot of the underlying plywood, which requited replacing, but this did not slow down the installation crew at all. Daily clean up was meticulous. The bottom line is that Wiedmann stepped up to help us out of a jam, came through with a superlatively-engineered solution and gave us a remarkably fair price (significantly less than all of the estimates that we had received from some other roofers). During the entire process, communication was effortless. I ask a lot of annoying questions and they answered all of them patiently and clearly. Joe A was a fountain of information on design and installation and Emily offered tremendous assistance in dealing with permits and inspections. "I had heard about good and bad roofing contractors in Florida - whomever did our roof in 2005 was not a good one - so approached our search for a good roofing contractors very carefully. We researched reviews, looked at Nextdoor to see what people said every time someone asked who a good roofing contractor would be, and did a lot of homework. They installed hurricane straps. When it rained before they were done they double checked inside to make sure everything was okay. They were focused, polite, used no fowl language nor listened to any offensive music. They were meticulous in their attention to detail to make sure our new gutters and leaf guards weren't damaged. I took photos of the entire process so my hospitalized husband could follow their progress. They finished late on Saturday night, days ahead of schedule. The result was stunning. I went up and walked on it, taking pictures to show my husband. I was impressed with the way they replaced the flashing around our recently rebuilt chimney and carefully retrimmed around that chimney with cedar. Beautiful work! They also worked to make sure the site was cleaned up afterward, and I only found breakage on one plant - which I suspect might have happened on the last day since they worked until dark to get the job done right. When we received the final invoice there were no undisclosed cost overruns and everything was within previously discussed parameters. Andy came by after the work was done as I wanted to give him a check directly and shake his hand, and let him know how appreciative we were of a good job. What impressed me even more, however was when the building inspector came to do the final inspection. His words: "this is a good company, and one of the few..." I recommended these people to anyone. Fast, efficient, quality workmanship, integrity."
