"Benjamin and Mario first restretched our carpeting in May.  It continued to be loose in several areas so we called them to return and fix the problems.  They were very professional and thorough.  They restretched the carpeting and we are now very happy with the job they did. <br />"

"We are very pleased we chose the The Floor Store to help us select new flooring and have it installed. We worked with Bill Cunningham to choose carpet and vinyl flooring materials that we are very satisfied with. The installation crews for both the hard floor and the carpet were incredibly professional and highly skilled. They arrived as scheduled, worked consistently throughout the day(s) and completed the work when expected. Between the new flooring and new baseboards, our house feels refreshed and contemporary. This was a great investment in our home and we're so glad we made it."

"Andrey was my project coordinator and did a fantastic job with the design.  Anatoliy was the installer and also did a fantastic job.  All floors were thin set under backer board to ensure a perfectly level subfloor and each tile was meticulously put in place with an amazing finished product.  I have built houses in the past and have not been impressed with my tile work but this time I am sold on 5 Star for the next project.  The only con's for 5 Star was cost and time to install but those are both directly related to the quality of the finished product and based on what I got I'll happily pay a bit more and wait a bit longer for their work. <br /> <br />"

"I had them replace base boards and some drywall after water heater leak/flood. They did a great job and even installed a plastic waterproof wall panel in the garage area. Good job matching the paint as well. Very professional and I trusted them to do the work without me being there. Completed in one day. I plan on using Daniel again in the future."

"Wood Floors by Beto refinished our hardwood floors in most of the rooms of our house. Beto was very friendly and answered all of our questions before they started the job. After they removed carpeting covering the wood floors, we discovered that the under-floor in one of the rooms had sunk. Beto brought in a carpenter and his team and they fixed the under-floor beautifully. There were a few other surprises as they got down to the original hardwood floors, but they came up with solutions to all of them. His people did a great job on the floors. These people are real artisans, and their experience and expertise is evident in their work. They are great at the details. The work crew was very professional and hard-working. They stayed until everything was done right. The floors date back almost a hundred years, and have clearly been through some rough stuff, but they brought them back to life. They look beautiful now! I highly recommend this company for their honesty and the quality of their work."

"Workmen arrived at 8 a.m. and completed job by 3 p.m. Workers are not actually from Carpets West but are hopefully fully licensed installers hired out by Carpets West to complete jobs. I noticed that the floors were left with many cloudy smudges  and a few footprints that would not come off. Service representative returned with workmen and I was told that stains were glue. Service rep  instructed workmen to rub floors completely with mineral spirits to remove stains. My concern is that mineral spirits is not recommend as cleaning agent for these floors which are very delicate. I feel that work was rushed and not completed with care. I would think that it would be good practice to look over the work completed and make sure it is presentable to the client before just saying "done" and goodbye. <br />"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Mesquite, NM

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
