"My wife and I wanted new hard woods in our house but had very specific requirements that we could not typically find locally.  My wife wanted a dark floor while I wanted extreme durability in a natural hard wood.  We did our homework and decided that Brazilian Walnut (Ipe) most closely matched what we wanted.  <br /> After looking locally for something that fit the bill, the flooring we found was either over $12 sq/ft (too expensive) or not dark enough.  I started searching on-line and ran across Brazilian Direct.  Their prices seemed reasonable (a bit over $6 sq/ft for what we wanted) and they even had a tinted (dark) version of the floor we liked. <br /> After several weeks of questions and further research, we decided to place an order.  We we worked with a representative named Sannon who helped us every step of the way.  She sent us samples, instructions, guides - everything to make us more comfortable about our eventual order.  Our order came right on schedule and the wood was really beautiful.  After several weeks of the required acclimation we had a local installer put the floor down.  They did an excellent job and we really love our floor.  There was very little waste and in fact we had at least 3 boxes left over. <br /> I highly recommend Brazilian Direct.  We are considering using them again for a deck project we'd like to do in the future. <br />"

"I have used several Granite Gold products and like their effectiveness because they do what they are supposed to do. No strong fumes or irritating skin problems. The granite counter top daily cleaner and polish are so easy to use (spay it on and wipe with a paper towel) to keep all your stone products clean and shiny. I was surprised to see how effective the grout cleaner is. I sprayed it on some dirty tire floors in the bathroom and let it sit for a couple of minutes. Then I went over it with the scrub brush they provide. It looked clean then, but when it dried, it was much brighter. This is a 40 Year old bathroom tile floor pictured. "Laurie Dean and the staff and installers here are FANTASTIC. I was really nervous about having my kitchen done, but they handled everything. BTW, I had priced out other places (like Builder's Warehouse downtown) and Design Plus was right in there--and unlike Builder's WH (which does not guarantee their work, has their employees work off the books to install, and have cheaper, thinner granite), Design Plus does really, really good work. Here's an example. Instead of using a paper pattern to trace and cut their granite, they have a professional come out and do a LASER PATTERN of your countertops so that they cut the granite just right. Paper patterns can stretch and get distorted, so this is really important. They also guarantee their sealed granite for 15 years! I can't say enough about this place. They made the experience painless. I'd trust them with my house any time. Don't go with substandard places (which you'll complain about for decades later). "He was very thorough, we did like him. We considered using him, we were looking at the kitchen area but got carried away and he seemed willing to go beyond that. He did say it will take a little while to make a bid from us. We have not yet heard from him. We have decided on a contractor and so we have not yet emailed him. He seemed knowledgeable, he seemed professional, he was punctual. He let us know he would be running 15 minutes late. If we had gone with him, he would be doing some tile work in Kitchen, cabinets, flooring, countertops and install some laminate in our entire first floor."

"The installers called as they were leaving the shop to say they were on the way. They were quick at dismantling my old  counter top and getting the slabs in place. One of the backsplashes was just a hair too high for the space and they took it back to the shop to correct it.  My original slab cracked as they were lifting it and I had to use an additional piece. You would never know that these counter tops were from 2 different slabs. My counter tops are just gorgeous. The fit and finish is beautiful. I remodeled my kitchen on a shoe string budget doing most of the work myself just so I could afford high end counter tops. It was worth every bit of it. If you are doing a smaller kitchen like I was ask to see remnants, they can save you hundreds of dollars. In fact, it was only $200 more for me  to go to granite than 3D laminate. <br /> If considering natural stone tops this is the place to go. <br />"
