"We were very impressed with Danny.  Not only was his price reasonable but he came to the house to do the work to seam and trim 5 throw rugs and one long runner.   The quality of his work was excellent.  Installing the existing carpet roll on the curved stairway turned out to be more of a challenge than he thought because of the age of the house each step was different. He canceled his second appointment to ensure he had the time to get it done properly.  He quoted his price upfront and did not waiver from the price even though the job took longer than expected.   We did pay him a little extra because we thought that was more of a fair price for his work.  But this was at our initiative not his.  We would readily hire him again"

"Spectacular!! Troy came in with only half a day's notice on a Sunday to save the day! Not only did he come in with a smile on his face and ready to work, he took the time to show what and how he was doing. His experience and attention to detail clearly showed. To say he was the consummate professional is a huge understatement. I highly recommend T.A. Swan for any flooring project, without reservation!"

"<p>Seth is very skilled and meticulous with his tile and backsplash installs. He had a tedious job of removing existing tile before installing with new in our kitchen and foyer.   He was also easy to work with and helpful with pattern designs.  He did an excellent job installing all of our tile!</p> <p>The carpet guys did a great job as well!</p> <p>The entire team at Superior was professional, friendly, helpful, and easy to work with.  We were on a tight schedule to have all the floor installs completed before we could move in and Superior came through. </p> <p>We greatly appreciate the "Superior" service!  Our floors are absolutely beautiful :-)  We would absolutely recommend Superior Floorcoverings!</p> <br />"

"Mr Kashany arrived on time, examined the work to be done and explained in detail what he could (and could not) do.  He was very professional and has great attention to detail.  He was very careful about moving the furntiure when necessary.  THe rugs came back in the time he estimated and were cleaned very well.  I definitiely will use Kashan Carpet care for all future carpet and rug cleaning."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Middletown, MD

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
