"Called within 5 minutes of me hanging up with Heather, from Angie's List. The owner was kind and out to bid within 2 hours. Because of the weather, he was finished with the blacktop and asphalt rock in 2 days!!! I love the finished product!!! Very happy!!!"

"We had 25+ year old asphalt driveway that was badly cracked and damaged from some recent construction. Nick took time to assess our driveway and listen to our needs and concerns. He answered our questions and helped us understand what options we had. Their prices were competitive. The team did a great job on installation day and we have been very pleased with our driveway so far."

"Well done! Paul is a real, highly experienced pro. And a gentleman. He arrived on time, cleaned the surface, repaired a crack going across the driveway, a gouge (at the entrance to the driveway), and sealed my driveway as only a true craftperson would. I will have him return in a few years to seal coat it again. I highly recommend Paul. DWR 4/26/26"

"I worked with Roy as my contact person. He kept in contact. He scheduled and had to reschedule due to weather conditions. When his crew showed up on new appt. date they were fast, efficient and effective. we have a beautiful new driveway with new drain. They even cemented some rocks....now that could have been better! that would have given them a 5 vs 4.5."

"We had somebody come up for driveways and asphalt and they are Premium Sealcoat LLC. They came the day they would and they were gone. They did a fine job, it was fine, it was good. I have no complaints with them at all. My husband is satisfied too. I would grade them 'A' all the way through."

"Kevin and his crew are great guys and they do great work. They were punctual, very professional, and are hard workers. They took out my old driveway and had the forms up and rebar installed in just a few hours. The new driveway looks fantastic. It's already getting positive comments from the neighbors. They're a little more expensive than the other estimate I'd gotten but I am glad I went with Kevin. Best contractor I've worked with."

"I have used them since 1979. I have a shared driveway with my neighbor with aprons in the back and we split the bill. I think we paid about $300 each. I recommend them all the time and say I have used them for years. They are reliable, give me a price and it never changes. They do great work. They are meticulous, clean and they don't get off the asphalt on the brick sidewalls. I could not say enough about them. I did some shopping last year and they were a hair more than one other company, but I went with them because of their reputation and my history with them. I gave them a choice of three days when they could do the work because we had to adjust the parking. They showed up the day they said on time. They said they would be here at 8'oclock and they were here at 8 'oclock"

FAQs for asphalt paving installation projects in Middletown, OH

Most driveways wrap up in roughly a week. Allow two to three days for installation, followed by an additional two to three days for the surface to cure. Concrete and asphalt follow this timeline, whereas a gravel job often finishes more quickly. Laying out the schedule upfront makes it easier to plan your week and your budget.

Sealer prevents water, salt, and UV rays from damaging the surface. Apply a fresh coat every one to three years, and you’ll slow down the growth of cracks, avoid pricey repairs, and keep the driveway looking sharp. A local professional can handle the job efficiently and ensure even coverage.

Material is the significant driver when it comes to the lifespan of a driveway. Asphalt stays strong for about 20 years, concrete lasts 30 to 40 years, and paver stones can last 50 to 100 years because you can swap out damaged bricks. With regular top-ups, a gravel drive can also reach the century mark. Knowing these timelines helps you map out long-term maintenance and replacement costs.

Repaving strips everything down and starts fresh, letting you change the layout or improve drainage before pouring new material. Resurfacing, on the other hand, adds a top layer over a solid base, giving you a facelift without the need for a complete demolition. Go with repaving when the base is failing; choose resurfacing when the structure is sound and you just need a new surface.
