"In November of 2016, Mr. Prouty responded quickly to my request for a quote. I analyzed the top of the chimney and agreed that a concrete chimney cap needed to be poured to fix the poor job that the builder's mason ad done five years earlier. However he said it was too cold to do concrete work and that he would do it in the spring. He returned in the spring to review the condition of the top of the chimney and we scheduled a date of service. The crew that did the work was right on time, explained what they were doing, were neat and professional in their installation and the removal of the form once the concrete was cured. I've delayed writing a review until almost a year had passed to make sure that their work resolved the problem. I can safely say that the diagnosis was spot on and the new chimney cap has eliminated the leak. I will certainly use Prouty's again for all my chimney work."

"I had hired Chim Chim Churee 2 years ago after I moved into a new home to inspect and sweep my chimney/fireplace. They noted a few issues and took several photographs to explain things to me (e.g., I had several cracked or missing flue tiles). "Terribly dissatisfied with the pricing. Felt that the pipes could have been repaired without the bend in the pipe run and the more than unnecessary expense. I'm rating at a C-minus because of the price & felt trapped by the ultimate result of the price. I rated B's across the board because the plumber was responsive and ultimately satisfied the job. The thing that irked me was the thought that the copper pipe could have been soldered as a sleeve replacement instead of charging $700 for just one of the pipe repairs. I don't recall the final pricing as its been over 2 years since the repair."

Their sales rep (Larry Nowell) was very professional and knowledgeable regarding what had to be done. The work crew was very skillful as evidenced by the quality of their work, Satisfaction with the roof replacement influenced my decision to also install P.V.C.aluminum trim wrap to cover all Comer, Freeze, Fascia, and Rake boards, as well as vinyl Soffit on roof overhangs. "After a quick initial inspection to confirm the source of two leaks along a party wall in a DC rowhouse, the repair proceeded promptly over two days. The repair consisted of repointing of some deteriorated brickwork, replacement of a rubber membrane along the length of the party wall and replacement of some shingles on the shingle portion of the roof. The work is impeccable and the roof has no further leaks! Looking at the work, I suspect that portion of the roof will greatly outlast the rest. I highly recommend Mr. Mackay as he is a consummate professional, very timely and while not strictly the lowest cost, does perfect work that you will not have to revisit."

"I had been having water seeping through the bricks in my chimney off and on for years but had been unable to determine where the water was coming from. After consulting many, many service companies I was still unable to correct the problem. The thing I did know was that it was not coming from rain leaking through my roof. Nicto Chimney Service was the only company that did not immediately head for my roof looking for a leak. The minute he looked at the outside of the chimney in the kitchen and saw the mineral deposits and stains he asked to see my furnace--no one had ever asked to see my furnace so I admit I thought this can't be right. He discovered that my furnace vents through the chimney and condensation was forming on the inside then seeping through the bricks. I needed a new chimney liner. All my questions were answered in detail before scheduling a date for the work to be done. They arrived right on time and completed the work in a day. I was even able to see the completed liner by way of a remote tv camera.  I have had no more trouble with water seeping through the bricks since the work was completed!  I was impressed with their knowledge and work and would use them again. <br />"

"Our bay window had water damage, and we were looking to repair some indoor drywall water damage as well. We were looking to replace all the wood outer wood of the window, and not just replace a bad spot. After 20 years the bay window had some rotted wood and was looking a bit ragged. Everything went very well. The representative that came over to talk over the repairs was on time, courteous, and willing to answer any questions. I was able to ask questions about upgrading from wood replacement to pvc board, and what the costs and long-term benefits would be. We also had the kickplate under the door replaced. They were very good about letting us know when they could get to the job and called ahead to let us know when they were planning to be out. We also had the inner wall of our stairwell repaired. There had been some water damage at the top and in the corner, and they were able to repair and repaint the wall that we couldn't have reached ourselves. The replacement of the weather-worn wood under the soffits was replaced, caulked, and painted. They really look nice. Everyone was polite, on time, and were motivated to come in and get the job done. We are very happy with the results. Everything looks great."
