"David gave me a very fair estimate for painting the exterior of our home, including some minor siding repairs. Even though he had to leave town unexpectedly the week of our project, his employees were on time and super efficient, and he communicated with me throughout the process. Upon completion, I noticed a few areas that werenâ t finished quite to my satisfaction, and he sent workers over to address the issues when it was convenient for me. Overall very happy with the results."

"Jose and his Son Jay helped me with my first house over the holidays. They painted and extended my kitchen cabinets, painted all 3 upstairs bedrooms, caulked, sealed, and painted all my baseboards that had been pulled up when new flooring had been installed, fixed a water stain, painted my accent wall and mantle, and painted most of my downstairs living areas, including the two story entryway. Everything was done to the highest level, on time, and by people who were great to work with. 10/10 recommend."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Midway, UT

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
