"Alex and his crew are great. I highly recommend them. A neighbor recommended New Image Irrigation a few years back, and we are so happy they did. Alex provides outstanding service, is honest and fair, good prices, and easy scheduling and paying options."

"Rain One has always been our go to with an in-ground sprinkler system. They are always on time, have fair pricing, and have professionals that know what they are doing! No messing around or haggling with prices, they get the job done! They also did a repair on a downspout going to the curb for under $500 and the other quotes were all over $2500. Job was done well, on time and taken care of."

"We moved into a brand new home in late December, 2014.  Wilson Turf was the company providing our landscaping package so we assumed it would be easiest to have them install our irrigation system also.  Seemed like a great idea until we got their estimate -- close to $6,000.00.  I got on Angie's List to get some other estimates and found really positive reviews of Dave Mattews' company.  I contacted both Matthews Irrigation and Rain One for estimates.  One issue for our property is the fact that we reside in Jefferson Township and their rigid requirements definitely add to the cost of any system.  Rain One's estimate was completely out the roof so we decided to use Matthews Irrigation.  What a blessing!  Dave is very professional; knows his stuff and is so easy to work with.  We were at the mercy of our landscaper as far as installation of our sod and Dave was totally accommodating!  He laid all of the tubing prior to the sod being laid.  We are still waiting for our front yard to be finished but Dave came out as soon as our back and sides were finished and added the heads and controller.  It just went so smoothly!!!  We really feel like we were extremely fortunate to have chosen Matthews Irrigation.  I would highly recommend Dave for any services he offers! <br />"

"The first year went great! My lawn was left in bad shape from the previous owners and lawn doctor had it looming almost as good as anyone on the block’s by the end of the summer. The second summer however, the “forgot” to do my backyard twice, didn’t come nearly as often as the first summer, and my lawn looked worse than it did the year before with dead grass patches and weeds all over the place. I also had a bad experience with their lawnmower maintenance service. They brought my lawnmower back dirty, the pull start was blown out, and it didn’t seem to work any better than before the tuneup."

"Overall a positive experience. Setting up the appointment was a breeze but the plumber arrived later than originally given. After I called to inquire I was told there was a good reason for this but I shouldn't have had to call - they should have called me. The plumber did good work and found another problem lurking and fixed it as well, which I was thankful for. This made the job take extra time and he had to go to Home Depot twice. The new hookups work great. I'd use again but wasn't blown away by the service. "

"We got four quotes before selecting Yard Solutions for our landscape re-do. Their price was in the middle. We chose YS, which we found through a friend referral, because we thought designer Steve Graham listened best and understood our vision for the yard. He also was the most helpful and flexible in 1) altering his plan to meet our needs after the initial drawing, and 2) helping us chip away at the "dream plan" to get the total project down to our budget. There was a slight delay getting started in the fall but communication was good. Cold weather came early and so completion had to be held over until spring. Again, communication was good and we were happy with the process. Some plants that were put in late in the fall died over the winter and they replaced them. When we did not like the shape of the Japanese maple they brought us, they took it away and Steve met us at the nursery to help us select one we'd like. The lighting failed six months out and they fixed it, no charge. The crews were pleasant and respectful. Our only complaint was that stone cutting was conducted with the garage open and dust covered our bicycles, etc, and that the foreman would not wear a mask, which worried us. YS should require masks. We took care of the bikes (they apologized for the oversight) and YS powerwashed the driveway to get rid of the residue. BEST OF ALL, we absolutely love the results. The brick patio was beautifully designed and installed with extreme care and craftsmanship. We had been planning bluestone but chose brick to save money and are glad we did because it's gorgeous. The pergola is beautiful and works well in the space. Simply said, we couldn't be happier and we feel we made the right choice of provider for this project. We believe the relatively minor changes in front yard have vastly improved the curb appeal of our house, and the changes in the backyard have increased our home's value. Especially to us! We use the patio every day. <br />"

"They come out on a weekly basis to cut and trim my front lawn. I have a large backyard and they cut and trim it when I ask them too. They are always willing to do extra little things when I ask them too. They have always done a very good job. The employees are very nice. I call the office and they fix all of my appointments right up. If I ever have a problem I can call them and they will get right on fixing it."

"Lawn looks a little better but with the incessant phone calls and people banging on my door looking to sell me additional services it was not worth it. Called today to cancel service and could not get past the "hold" on the phone. Waited apprx. 30min. They will pick up the "want new service" number right away but those folks won't do anything but sell you a new program."

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Milledgeville, OH

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
