Customers say: Super punctual

"Everything went better than expected. Rick is very knowledge and personable explaining what he would do to install the water lines and the laundry sink. Most of important of all, he noticed that my sump pump hadn't been working for while as the tub was filled almost to the trim with water. Thank goodness he noticed this and replaced the pump. Otherwise I would have had a flooded basement. All is working great now. I will call them again next time I need a plumber."

"They came out quickly and got the job done. I needed a new piece for the drain. They contacted Kohler for me to be sure the correct thing was ordered. The price was better than I'd paid plumbers who have come our previously."

"I am amazed at The quality of their customer service. Before I became disabled, I was employed at the hospital for 28 years and I know how hard-working with the public can be. I really need to give a hats off and a pat on the back to (midstate Basement) systems they came in and did work on my basement and had to come back and adjust some things… Not one time did they roll their eyes or give me a hard way to go about it. Levi ,Judd, Ernest, Jonathan & Adrian were very friendly, courteous & Ernest, Levi and Judd always answered any question I give them and was quick to be of help and to get me scheduled in I would highly recommend Midstate Basements systems to anybody that needs any kind of basement or crawlspace work done. I had my basement done and I’m gonna have to have my crawlspace done in the future and they will definitely be the company I contact. You can’t go wrong by hiring them. Fast, friendly service, each and every time."

"Really appreciate the great service we received from Logan, from the sales consultant to the installation. Everyone was very respectful and did a great job working with us. We are also very impress with the HVAC sold to us, this house has never been this cool in the summer, even the upstairs is very comfortable. Sometimes we have to turn the thermostat up a degree or two where we are too cold. The old unit never did that. Received all our warranty paperwork in a timely manner. Very great service."

"

I am very frustrated with Angie's List.  I purchased the service as a Big Deal from Angie's List.  It was $79 for 2 hours of plumbing.  Guess what?  This all had to be done in one trip at one time.  Did Angie's List state this in the Fine Print?  No.  The plumber came and checked out the toilets and felt the problem was the seal rings.  He went to Lowe's (where we had purchased the Kohler toilets) to get replacement parts.  They didn't carry them - said the toilets were too new.  We've only had them a little over 3 years!  The plumber had to order the part so it was a while before they came in.  He came to install them this morning.  When he wrote up the bill this morning it was for $137.60 in addition to the $79 I had paid Angie's list for the Big Deal.  He explained to me that this all had to be done in one trip.  Since he had to come back after the parts arrived, there was the additional charge plus, of course, the charge for the parts.  I feel taken advantage of by Angie's List.  One of the main reasons I belong is so this very kind of thing doesn't happen.  My Big Deal was certainly not a deal!

I don't blame Dublin Plumbing.  I blame Angie's List for not having made the terms of the deal more explicit - very misleading.  I'm finding more and more that Angie's List is not the company it used to be - their professionalism and quality has really gone down hill.  Very disappointing.

I'm hoping the new rings resolve the toilet issue.  The plumber assured me they would be back if it didn't resolve the issue, and I do feel they will stand behind their work.

FAQs for sump pump or interior foundation drains installation projects in Milledgeville, OH

Most residential pumps draw approximately 1,300 to 2,900 watts when they first start, then settle at roughly 800 to 1,050 watts during normal operation. The exact number depends on the motor’s horsepower and how often the float switch tells the pump to run. Even at the high end, the electricity cost is minor compared with the expense of cleaning up a flooded basement.

Grab a ruler and an empty 18‑inch‑wide pit. During a steady rain, time how much the water rises in one minute. Multiply that depth (in inches) by 60 to calculate gallons per hour, then add 50% for safety. If the result tops 2,100 gallons per hour—about 35 gallons a minute—you’ll need a 3/4‑horsepower unit. Anything lower, and a 1/3- or 1/2-horsepower pump should do the trick.

Loud rattling, constant cycling, or shuddering vibrations are the pump’s way of telling you it’s on its last legs. Musty smells, higher electric bills, and visible rust are other red flags. If the unit is 10 years old or older and exhibits any of these symptoms, replace it before the next heavy rain turns your basement into a wading pool.

You don’t have to hire a licensed plumber, but you should still bring in someone who installs sump pumps for a living—whether that’s a plumber, basement‑waterproofing specialist, or experienced handyman. They know the local codes, can wire the pump safely, and will test the system before they leave. Skipping professional help might void the warranty and could leave you with a pump that fails when you need it most.

Not every basement needs a pump, but if your home sits in a floodplain, has a high water table, or has ever taken on water during a storm, a sump pump is inexpensive insurance. For basements that only struggle with condensation or the occasional damp spot, sealing cracks and improving drainage may be all that is needed.
