"Great!! Two different handymen, two different occasions. Both men were professional and friendly. Replacing the interior door took some time, and it was worth it! Dean was meticulous (and went up and down the stairs so many times) to make sure the door fit properly in the frame and opened easily over the carpet (which the previous door never did). Separately our front stoop needed repair - pulling off the existing stone/brick that was deteriorating and replacing it with bluestone. James does beautiful work - he is a master in masonry. Coming out of lockdown and having both men show up with all the necessary PPE put me at ease - they were being very careful and following all the guidelines. I've already scheduled them for more work. Well worth the price!!"

"We have used Alan Drake MANY times at this point -he is our go-to contractor for all our projects big & small. Our first experience of him was when he finished our basement after we had it lowered a foot (by another company). Did a great job from the first minute - was reasonable on price, had the expert on his team, Karl, draw our plans for rebuilding our basement steps & finishing basement for permit purposes,  framed & built walls, finished with trim/cabinet doors, and then had his team paint the whole thing. We then had to use him after our basement unfortunately flooded from Irene when he had to redo a good amount of the work he had done the year before. We've used his team to paint our entire house top to bottom & they did an efficient and beautiful job. Have used them to clean our gutters periodically and power wash the back of our house and patio - always at a reasonable price. And this latest time when our sewer pipe backed up and caused a flood only days before we were having an open house, he came through and squeezed us into his schedule at the last minute, seeing what an emergency it was. Alan is a friendly, extremely personable guy, and beyond fair in price and setting expectations. We highly highly recommend him. He is our hero!
