"We scheduled a move with our OWN truck. Their driver didn?t show up so we had to rearrange our schedule to accommodate the next day. We were told we would get a 5% discount because they dropped the ball. The movers were amazing. Quick, careful, easy to communicate with, super friendly. We only hired 3 individuals to load OUR truck. The day they missed, Tom suggested the movers use their own transportation because we didn?t need their truck. When it came time to move, they CHOSE to use their own truck. At settlement, they dropped their FUEL SURCHARGE, which never was going to be charged? as we used our own truck. Portal to portal, Subcontract the move and make the customer pay to and from Statewide?s location. It?s bad business but we still agreed. I spoke to Tom? his response was how are the movers supposed to get there? Not our problem? we contracted for people not your truck. Don?t promise a discount for YOUR ERROR and snake us with a charge we never would have to pay. "

"Extremely disappointing experience with Schlepper. We hired them for a move that included an antique armoire valued at $15,000, with very clear instructions agreed upon in advance with their representative (J). Those instructions were not followed, and the armoire was damaged as a result. Key issues: We were never informed or offered any insurance option. It was not mentioned by the representative (J) and not proposed on the day of the move. The movers could not communicate in English, making it impossible to give instructions or resolve issues. The movers left our bathrooms in a disgusting, unsanitary condition. The agreed plan was to disassemble the armoire at pickup and reassemble it at delivery. Instead, they attempted to move it improperly and only dismantled it at delivery when it didn?t fit ? causing damage. Schlepper refused to reimburse us or send a professional restorer, and instead offered $120 for damage to a $15,000 antique. This is unprofessional, misleading."

"We booked these movers about two weeks out and told them we had a small street. They said it would be no problem. They got here and told us they cannot go down the street. I suggested an alternate street as I am familiar with small street and know a great alternitive. Immediately the guy got rude with me, he took us trying to explain the situation as us trying to argue. He canceled and refused to do the work. Unreliable, unprofessional and the price is not worth the hassle of not being able to count on someone."

FAQs for in-state moving service projects in Millstone-Township, NJ

Laws differ from state to state, but the number one rule is that you cannot move a mobile home on your own. You have to hire a licensed mobile home moving company. While each state is different, you’ll also have to research HUD codes, permits, and other laws specific to the area to ensure your move follows all necessary regulations.

Yes, a permit is required to move a mobile home. You must secure permits in the state of origin and in every state through which the mobile home passes. When moving across state boundaries, obtain a permit for each state. Your moving company assists in acquiring all required permits, ensuring strict compliance with local regulations during the entire relocation process.

No, you cannot move a mobile home built before 1976. Mobile homes constructed before 1976 do not meet current safety standards and must not be relocated. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development enforces strict guidelines that prevent moving older models.
