"We have worked with Sila for many years. They installed 2 hot air gas furnaces at my South Boston rental property a few years ago. They have serviced 4 systems each year. Last month, they installed 2 new gas furnaces. The sales rep was great to work with and gave us a substantial credit to make the numbers work for us to install the 2 systems. The team of 7 arrived early the next day, installed each system, then an inspection by the lead tech was done after that. The job was done in one day. Everyone was and always is very professional and very good to work with. They do the job and clean up after. They provide 24 hour service which I need having a rental property. They are reliable and I can always get someone to go out to the house no matter what time it is. They always call you right back when calling after hours. The prices may seem a bit higher than other companies for emergency or any service but it's well worth it because they respond and show up. "I had two jobs one was very good as the senior plumber installed the new water line for fridge for the regular price and brought the connection valve which I asked for and hooked it up the second day. The second job to install the toilet was done by a young man. It leaked from the toilet right away. They came back and the senior plumber tightened things up. It did not work and they have not responded. With toilet fluids leaking onto me good floor. I hired another plumber who took the toilet off the floor and showed me the broken flange that should have been replaced. Toilet was sitting on it and having been separated from old toilet was stuck to it most probably. It was no good. He came back and changed it and reinstalled the toilet. It does not leak. That should have been obvious to any untrained eye. A plumber would have seen it. The young man was getting trained. The senior plumber should have taken toilet off.

"They were excellent to work with giving us a complete detailed estimate for each of our 3 projects including all of our allowances. Including agreed upon payments schedules for each. They communicated schedules and any adjustment to those schedules, which were all minor. They cleaned at the end of each day of work to keep the dirt down to a minimum. As we did 3 different projects, each with their own contract, if we had not been happy with the first or second we obviously would have not continued to work with them. "Chris Carroll was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. He obtained a building permit within a week of accepting the job and was on site 5-6 days a week for 8 hours or more each day. With his team of 2-3 others, he personally oversaw every detail and frequently consulted with us to make sure that the work was done to our specification. Treating our job as if he were remodeling his own house, he also gave us many creative and helpful suggestions that improved upon the architect's original plan. Chris is honest, communicative, fair in pricing, timely in completing stages of the work for inspections, neat, and was mindful of our children's safety while the job was in progress. We felt very fortunate to have found Chris through a friend's recommendation, and the room turned out absolutely beautiful--even better than we envisioned it. Chris's expertise in carpentry and his pride in maintaining continuity with the original home inspired a bead board motif throughout the space within the ceiling to floor shelving, mudroom bench, and mission style radiator cover. The colonial windows' deep ledges with beautiful moldings were consistent with our original downstairs architecture. His estimate for the job was significantly lower than the other two estimates we obtained, and he came in on budget. We look forward to his starting on our next project and certainly will hire him for any future projects, as well as highly recommend him to any of our friends."
