1) Tom was flexible in that I wanted to do ther demo work myself, and to use my own electrician for the lighting.
2) He cheerfully allowed me to monitor the job closely.  I did this because I enjoy learning and occasionally providing my own "expertise".  Some contractors I've worked with in the past don't appreciate that "expertise".
3) He adhered carefully to specs from a structural engineer, regarding framing work on a load-bearing wall.
4) Fit and finish (new closets, skim plaster walls) were great.
