"The job took about  than 5 hours.  That included moving large pieces of furniture around to do the job.  I was impressed how quickly they worked.  The work crew was very polite and respectful.  I love my floors!  I recommend Carpet Mart to anyone needing new flooring. <br />"

"We had a water leak from our bathroom. I cleaned up best I could, but was concerned about water staying on pad under carpet. I called ColorPro and they came out the same day. They actually would have come out faster than I could get back home from work! They pulled up carpet, sprayed mildew and mold block and put it back down. While they were there, we decided to have our three bedrooms steam cleaned too. Very nice, very responsive and thorough. Very glad I found them and they deserve their good ratings."

"Josh and his team did a very good job for us. We were working under a very tight timeline, and had several challenges to overcome, but in the end, we are happy with the finished product. We had 3 bids, and Josh's was, by far, the most affordable. It took us a while to find the exact carpet I wanted, but Josh jumped through many hoops to get me what I wanted, which I really appreciated. I was put into direct contact with the hardwood installer crew, which made me feel very comfortable. I'm very hands on when it comes to remodeling in my house, especially when my husband puts me in charge of it, and this was a first for me. This company is fairly small, so expect some nuances associated with small companies. However, the positives outweighed the negatives for sure. I have already referred them to another family, and would choose to work with them again if given the opportunity. Thank you very much, Josh & team! <br />"

"It went very well. They are very friendly and had the best price in town. I had a minor issue with a transition after the job was done and they came right out and repaired it. I would definitely recommend them."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Mineola, TX

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
