"It went very well! They built a stone fire pit set in a decomposed granite sitting area, stone edging and flagstone walkways in the back yard. We liked it so much we expanded the project to a small flagstone sitting area in front shrub bed and stone edging around all of the other shrub beds. The pricing was fair, the work was top notch and on time. We would recommend them."

"Travis and Vickie did an excellent job repairing the brick veneer on the back corner of our house. The mortar had cracked in several places, there were several cracked bricks, and the wall had shifted out a couple of inches. He found the exact match for our brick, replaced the cracked ones and repaired the wall. It looks absolutely perfect. We also had some cold joints, Austin Stone, and a brick lined sidewalk that needed repair. Travis and Vickie fixed those, as well. His prices were very reasonable, too. I would recommend them to anyone needing any type of brick or stone work and canâ t say enough about how pleased I am with their work."

"Monty was great! He's a true professional who clearly takes pride in his work. We actually used his services 5 years ago for a different repair, so he was first on our list to call again this time around. That alone says something. This time around we hired him to fix brick damage up the entire right side of our 1998-built house after having foundation work done. Everything about the experience was just as positive as last time. He was on-time, friendly, did great work matching the mortar and cleaned up thoroughly when finished. You'd have a very hard time spotting the repair, which is great! Bottom line: I still have zero reservations recommending Monty to friends."

"The crew was a bit sloppy when Joe wasn't around, but he had them return to re-do a few places and clean off areas where the concrete/mortar should not have been placed. There wasn't anything than couldn't be fixed."

"Our mailbox was leaning. The city made it worse during street and curb reno. There were broken bricks around the garage opening (previous owners must have hit it with their car) and corner pops in various places. BRICK EXPERTS DFW came out with a quote when other companies only wanted texts of the repairs needed. We signed up "on the spot"....waited our turn, and they transformed the mailbox, garage opening and corner pops to perfection!"

FAQs for brick or stone tuck pointing projects in Mineral Wells, TX

Masons charge between $70 and $110 per hour. A mason may have a minimum service fee ranging from $80 to $300. Most bricklayers offer free estimates and charge only if you proceed with the project. This clear pricing model assures that professionals inspect your property before beginning work and charge based on your project’s actual requirements.

A professional repointing lasts 20 to 30 years without maintenance and extends up to 50 years when maintained diligently. This process protects your brickwork using high-quality materials that ensure lasting performance and durability. Consistent upkeep preserves its strength and appearance, providing enduring protection and enhancing your home’s overall structural integrity for decades.

You know your house needs repointing when you notice clear signs such as cracked, flaking, or missing mortar and visible discoloration on the brick surfaces. Additional indicators include loose bricks, water damage, and gaps between the brick joints that compromise the overall integrity of the structure. Addressing these issues promptly protects your investment and sustains the durability and curb appeal of your home.

A house needs repointing to preserve both its structural integrity and visual appeal. Mortar acts as a vital bonding agent that holds the bricks securely together. When the mortar deteriorates, it exposes the structure to water infiltration and further decay, increasing the risk of costly repairs. Repointing stops decay and reinforces the exterior, ensuring long-term protection.
