"Working with Steve was a joy!!!  He is truly a professional and a gem to find.  I would definitely ask him to do future work in our home and recommend his work to family and friends.
I contacted Steve for a painting consultation and he arrived on time to quote the work a few days later.  Steve struck me as a professional, friendly and very skilled painter.  He asked appropriate questions and provided me with a detailed, itemized quote including paint, supplies and labor prior to leaving our home that evening.  
We scheduled the work a few weeks later and Steve came out to the house the week prior to go over last minute details with me including specifics about colors and which hardware would go back on the walls when the painting was finished.  When Steve left I was confident that the work would be done the way we wanted.
Steve performed the job while we were out of town the following week.  He was trust-worthy and cared for our home as we would have.  He even brought in packages the UPS person left on the front steps.  Upon arriving home, nearly half of our house had been re-painted to excellent standards.  He was attuned to details and made sure all the paint lines were precise.  I am a perfectionist and was very happy with the work Steve did for us.  Steve will be our first call for future painting projects!

"Our home was due for exterior painting in 2016. Leo's estimate was reasonable, and his team had availability within the timeframe i wanted. The work was done very professionally, and the result came out looking great. They took care to avoid damage to landscaping around the house, to catch or clean up scrapings and other debris, and overall did a great job. There was one particularly troublesome spot on the south side of the house where the unheated garage is located; because of the sun exposure and heating / cooling over seasons, that surface needed a lot of extra prep work to look right. Leo's guys did a very good job with that."

"It was great working with AA Painting. When I started looking for a painter, I put up the job in Angie's List on a Saturday afternoon. I heard from AA Painting in 30 minutes and the project manager came within an hour to walk through and take detailed notes. They started work on Monday morning and finished on time, despite us adding a few changes while they were working. The workers were very professional and even pointed out non-paint related issues for us to watch for. There was one room with some work left over from a different contractor that they needed to return to finish. They worked from 3 PM to 8 PM on a Friday to complete the work. They left the house clean and gave us detailed notes on the paint used and even organized the paint cans. Overall we are very happy with them and we look forward to hiring them for future paint work."

"Seven or eight years ago a storm rolled through the western suburbs of Minneapolis doing $40,000 to $50,000 in damage to our home. We hired our usual contractor to repair the damage. He did a good job on everything except our beautiful cedar deck on the south side of our home. When the contractor completed his work, our deck looked like it was covered in mud. The deck’s previous splendor became a distant memory and I resisted spending time on the deck. Nearly three years ago our house was in need of repainting. I stopped at our local paint store (the stores all the pros go to) and asked an acquaintance who has worked at the store for many years if he could recommend a painter to do high quality work. He gave me three names and I contacted all three. David DuBose the owner of Cutting Edge, Inc. came to look at the project on a Sunday afternoon. I told him straight-up that if he wasn’t confident that he could return the deck to its nearly original condition he should not take the job. He took one plank and told me he would get back to me. A short time later he told me he was confident he could bring the deck back to near original condition. At my request, Dave gave me a price to repaint the house, and a separate estimate to refinish the deck. I gave him both jobs. Dave contacted me about two weeks prior to the time he felt confident he could begin the project. As promised, Dave and his crew arrived right on schedule, ready to work. One or two members began preparing the deck and the remaining crew went to work preparing the house for paint. The house was completed very quickly and Cutting Edge did a GREAT job. The deck was completed a few days later and I could not have been more pleased. But the true test was time. Now, nearly three years later, the deck still looks brand new and you can’t get me off the deck. Just last week (03/2022), Cutting Edge completed a maintenance project on my home’s interior. Enamel trim (20 years old) had cracked and stained cabinets were showing wear and tear. A week of concentrated work by one of the Cutting Edge, finish guys and everything looked nearly as good new. I can’t say Cutting Edge is the least expensive in the short term. But I sincerely believe that quality work and quality products make Cutting Edge the best long-term value for the money. I have managed and developed a significant portfolio commercial property professionally since 1979. I highly recommend David DuBose and his Cutting Edge crew without any reservation."

"I would without any hesitation, recommend FreshLook Painting for any of your painting needs. We are relatively new to Minnesota, and didn't have a lot of knowledge about local contractors, but we certainly were pleased that we found Ryan and his crew! From start to finish, everything went well. We are super excited about the brand new look to our house, It was transformed from the 1980's to a modern looking home! Ryan knows what he was talking about! He gave some very helpful guidance on the color selection. His advice was spot on, because the color turned out to be exactly what we were envisioning. He also walked around the house with me and offered suggestions on what to paint the main house color (blue-gray) and what to paint the trim color (white) to help accent certain features, or in some cases, disguise other less desirable features. "Painting by Jerry Wind did an absolutely fantastic job on an upstairs bedroom in our 1915 bungalow. We recently purchased the place, and the previous owners did a great job restoring and refreshing the place, but there was one room that still need some attention. The bedroom in question had walls and ceiling covered with stress cracks that had never been properly repaired - just kind of textured and painted over. Hugo, our foreman and principal worker on the job was just great to work with. He took a very creative approach to the job, constantly assessing the condition of the surfaces, identifying problems, and coming up with effective solutions. Then he brought in another plasterer named Juan for the skim coating - 2 coats. Together they got those walls and ceiling looking incredibly smooth, even before the sanding. And after sanding, priming and painting, it’s no exaggeration to say that the end result approaches perfection. They also did a small repair in the stairwell - a really large stress crack, poorly repaired previously, and right at eye level. Hugo (with help from Juan) cut out all the damage, patched and smoothed, then texture matched and repainted. The repair blends in beautifully with the surrounding wall. All of the work is really of the highest quality of art and craft. It was also just a real pleasure to have Hugo working in our home. He’s a true gentleman, super-responsible and responsive. He kept us looped in throughout the process, and would frequently check in to see if we had any questions or concerns. Juan was great, too. And Dan, our initial contact, estimator, and final inspector. was really sharp, too. Very straightforward in how he communicated with us. Hands down the mellowest contractor experience we’ve had in more than 30 years of home ownership."
