"Our concrete walkway had cracked badly over the winter, our rock beds looked terrible and our old railroad ties used for edging were rotting and out of place from snowplowing. Josh got a couple of options to me very quickly and after I chose one was able to start work within a few days. He brought out several examples of pavers to look out and pick from . His crew got the work done in two days, and Josh saw to the details, coming out several times to inspect and make improvements. The crew was polite and neat - cleaned up very well afterward. Josh did not collect final payment until he came out an did a walk through with me. He has pride of workmanship and made some changes to improve the final look that we had not even noticed."

"They did a great job. We needed two brick light posts repaired/replaced and Ben, the owner, came out and went over our options and gave us a prompt bid that was a reasonable price. When we decoded to have them do it the process was so easy and automated that it didn't take any time at all to sign the contract and get the work arranged. They even moved us up on the schedule and had the work done in two days. We replaced the posts, and they look so good that they could have been there since the house was built. The clean up after they had finished was great and they even replaced some of the dirt and added grass seed to the area to cover anything they had to dig up. "In The Rough Stonework & Landscaping built us a beautiful greenhouse foundation that has knee-high stone walls and a cement floor. The floor has slight slope with weep holes on the low end, perfect for keeping the floor dry. They also put in a patio that wraps around the greenhouse and made it with a mix of different bricks/stones. Our greenhouse/patio is now a perfect place for gardening and lounging. On another project they made us a flag-stone patio with a stone stairway through the garden allowing easy access to our yard. In The Rough Landscaping does quality work with an eye for detail and they do it at a great price, I would highly recommend Lester Avalos and his crew."

"The top of the chimney in our 1950's house was spalling badly. The brick was crumbling because there was no drip edge and water went right down the brick. The roof to brick interface started leaking into the house. We got lucky, because Joe and his crew were working in the area. He came out the same day to assess the project and the crew was at work the next day! We were stunned that they got started so quickly. One of our main concerns was making sure the repaired brick matched the existing. When they tore down the chimney, they kept as many of the good bricks as possible. The repair matches almost perfectly. The crew was quick, friendly, and professional."
