"Julian Rodriguez returned our inquiry quickly making an appointment to come to the location and offer a quote. Upon request he also emailed a picture of the style gate he installs. The quote was agreed to and a date scheduled for the work to begin. Our city does require permits and we took care of that detail ourselves. Due to distance traveled the crew arrived approx 9 am after picking up supplies. Julian also came by the work site to review the scope and get work started. The two man crew Juan and Lorenzo were very professional despite us having a difference in language. They still managed to communicate with me regarding a few challenge areas due to gas lines. The demolition of the old fence was done quickly with care about the plants. The crew kept the area as tidy as possible. A temporary plastic mesh was installed at the end of day pending the final installation. Julian was able to make a last minute change for an additional gate installed keeping the cost reasonable. We were very satisfied with the project and doing business with Cedar Fenses 4 Less. We would hire them again in the future."

"They took my call and showed up. I had called so many people but they wouldn't return my call and this one actually came in, measured everything and got a quote within a day, they worked on it very quickly and they weren't asking us for so much down and this and that, a lot of these places are asking you for half of it down. This guy is really professional and we will use him again. They were really knowledgeable about fences and wood and they were right to get the kind of wood that they told us to get."

"We loved Texas Prime Homes's solar installation on our house. Our primary contact Juan was the most knowledgeable solar rep we've talked to, and he offered us a wide range of panels to fit all budgets. Texas Prime Homes had the most competitive bid. Installation was done right the first time, and we love the Enphase monitoring software. Our only regret is that they weren't the fastest at answering email. Everything else went super smoothly!"

"The completed work was very nice, we were quite pleased. Company owner is VERY courteous and was always prompt. This was really appreciated. Workers were courteous and prompt and worked hard. They had to do a few things over in order to get everything correct but the end result was very good. Ask for a very detailed estimate up front, be sure to have all details spelled out so that there are no misunderstandings later (true for any job). We did need to watch as the work progressed and make corrections as needed.  These were the only areas where improvement was needed, although this estimate was much better than the others I received from other companies.   Any problems we felt we had were corrected.  The fencing and gates feel very sturdy and solid and I think they will last for many years."

"Hailstorm hit my area a few years ago and after seeing a number of my neighbors getting their roof replaced I called a Texas windstorm inspector, who said my roof was 50% damaged and needed to be replaced. <br /> The way it worked with Texas windstorm at the time was that it had to be repaired or they would not provide any more coverage, so I called Berryman Roofing to quote replacements. In terms of money I don't actually know the final value of the repair, since it was through my windstorm insurance. <br /> I was fairly impressed with the two reps who came out to quote the roof. Texas Windstorm didn't seem like it was going to give me enough money to cover it, but the roofers assured me they'd handle it. Work started a week or two after I signed the paperwork. They suggested upgrading my shingles to a superior type, which cost me an extra $600 out of pocket (Windstorm will replace like for like, so upgrades were on me). I live on the Gulf coast so it wasn't a hard sell giving me 120 mph rated shingles over the 80 mph the original ones had. They were thicker, heavier and were also more resistant to hail damage. Look better too, so it wasn't a hard sell given that it's a tiny fraction of the overall cost of a new roof. <br /> They were in and out in one day. I left for work fairly early, before any of them arrived, and got home late that day around 7. The roof was completely stripped, new shingles put on and everything cleaned up and removed before I got home. I never actually saw them, but they also replaced dented fittings over my vents, put hoods over vents that weren't covered and in general did a quality job. <br /> They maintain offices here locally and said they will warranty their work, though so far I've had no reason to call them back out. Windstorm was a bit slow cutting me checks to pay them, but they weren't pushy about billing and after I paid out everything I was supposed to they dealt with windstorm directly and that was the last I heard of it. I presume the repairs cost more than what Windstorm budgeted for and there's some mechanism for them to seek out whatever the difference was, but honestly I don't know the specifics. <br /> I suppose I should mention there are roofing companies who will offer to 'pay your deductible' presumably by overcharging the insurance and handing money back to their customer. I know by my policies I was responsible to pay out of pocket for upgrades and for the deductible, so that sort of thing is insurance fraud as far as I can tell. Berryman won't do it, despite that it's fairly damaging for their competitiveness. Seems to be an honest company, and it's been around for something like 30 years so they're not going to just disappear after the job's done. <br />"

"With great regret I submit this unfavorable review mostly due to his tile man, MANUEL. If he's still using this guy, STAY AWAY. Many of my friends and I had used Douglas for different jobs in the past with excellent results. We considered him to be a social acquaintance as well as an excellent contractor and know that he had worked on some of the most important houses in town. Doug spent hours with me making choices and improving the design. He gave me money saving tips and helped in so many ways. I remain indebted to him for this. <br /> There are minor issues with the paint and cabinetry such as vanity drawers not being uniform, a door painted on one side and not the other, a door jamb not painted and paint on door knobs and light fixtures. The major issue is the tile. It is was to be laid in a herringbone pattern with the tiles butted close together with only a 1/8and quot; grout line and the entire floor was to be sealed. It was emphasized that the tiles had to be perfectly flat and level as two family members have walking problems. Well the grout lines vary from 1/4and quot; - 1/2and quot; in places and almost all of the tiles have one end higher than the other. Tables and chairs wobble, furniture won't slide without catching on a bumped up tiles and it is very uncomfortable to walk across in bare feet. Some tiles are so sharp they almost cut your feet, others can cause us to stumble. Manuel admitted that he was going to Mexico and picking up laborers that he had never used and didn't know their skills. The capper of this was when I replaced my refrigerator (that they dented) and couldn't get it to slide out. It had been shoved into the space over wet tile which buckled and some of the tiles had popped up as much as 2and quot; on the sides. Additionally the outlet cover was laying in the floor and the refrigerator was plugged into a bare outlet -- a fire hazard? The installer of the new refrigerator took pictures and said he'd never seen a worse job. He tugged on one tile and it came up with just a hand tug; only half of that tile had thin set and it was completely loose. <br /> Additionally, some of the workers scratched my car, dented the refrigerator, and stole two brooms and a case of paper towels. When Norma called and asked if Steven could pick up the final check ($1800), I asked if Doug would come by instead because I wanted to show him these things. That was last summer and I'm still waiting to see him and I still have the $1800. <br /> I'm really not sure of how much I paid for this job. I think Doug got about $30,000. I bought most of the materials, fixtures and plumbing supplies and think that the total job was in the neighborhood of $40,000. <br /> I saved for years to have this done and wanted it done by the best in town. Now I'm saving to have it re-done and wonder who really is the best in town. <br />"
