My phone call was answered by a real person who gave me an estimate and we made an appointment. The repair person showed up on time -- I didn't even have to be there, which was great because I work and it was freezing cold outside -- fixed the window and the bill was $2 under the estimate. "Started fast. Got the quote one day and work was started the next day.My wife and I removed items that were hanging in the way. Herb did the pressure washing as soon as everything was clear. He asked for help when it was time to replace the 2 x 6's for the eve. Then he did the prep work and did the painting. When the painting was completed my wife and I looked over everything and found a few areas that needed touch up. He took care of everything. My wife and I did cleanup from paint spills but were still happy with the price and the new look. The job started on 5/7/13 and was completed on 5/15/13. We are happy with the work that was done. <br /> <br /> 06/09/13 Less than 1 month after having our house painted we noticed bubbles under the new paint on our railing and noticed some areas that weren't painted at all. We contacted Herb Thalen of Thalen Painting and brought it to his attention. We were told that when the weather changes in a month the bubbles should disappear. I told Herb the bubbles were sealed air pockets due to the paint not bonding to the rail. I was told he couldn't com and correct the problem for a month because he is busy now. <br /> <br />"
