"Overall Pinnacle Roofing Professionals are just that, professionals. We hired them in 2013 to make a repair on our aging roof and were pleased with their work. Fast forward to 2018 when it was time to replace the roof. Jason in Sales gave us a prompt estimate for our home to be re-roofed, new fascia installed and new gutters installed. The Project Manager Ricky was attentive to the details of this significant sized project and Tony the lead on the crew, along with the other crew members ensured that everything was done well. Jason promptly answered questions about the proposal and the owner, Lenny, ensured that warranty information was complete and that we were happy with their services. To that end, we vetted 8 additional roofing contractors for this project and are very happy we selected Pinnacle. In this industry, true craftsmanship, integrity, quality, workmanship and reputation matter. Thank you Pinnacle Roofing Professionals for completing a project that will give us peace of mind for many years to come."

"I had a new roof done by North Creek Roofing and I found excellent customer service for all my interactions with the company. The people I spoke with included the following: Chris Cunningham (estimator) who took time with detailed answering of questions in-person and by email, had top-of-the-line follow up, maintained a positive attitude with numerous detailed questions (and returning in-person to show me the static vent they would be installing), and put together an excellent, easy-to-read proposal (the best proposal I received from several roofers); to John Frazier (Operations Manager) who chose the work team for the new roof and had excellent follow up with questions and resolving issues; Jose (headed up the work crew and worked on the roof); Sonny (follow up on bird spikes and roof inspection); Erica (billing); Diane (production); and Candy (administrative assistant)."

"Marlo was a real find. We had a serious leak on one of our single family family rental residences dating back to November. Initially, we had a so-called leak specialist for a $350 minimum fee who totally mis-diagnosed the location of the leak and blamed it on on a "debris dam" in one of the valleys. He said cleaning the roof would solve the problem. He didn't even enter the attic crawl space or put up a tarp. Turns out his "professional assessment" was on the wrong side of the roof. We cleaned the roof and and repaired the drywall. The roof began leaking again and the repaired drywall had to be repaired again; this time the damage was much larger. I called Marlo and he came out to the house the same day I called. He discovered the source of the leak and repaired it the next day. He had a sub do the drywall repair. Marlo provided extensive photo documentation of what was wrong and how he would repair it. They drywall repair was excellent; it was impossible to tell there was any damage. They treated for mold as well. What impressed me most was Marlo provided me a 10 year warranty to cover the roof repair AND any ensuing drywall repair. Marlo is very personable and energetic. He also did a minor skylight repair gratis. A real headache that had been plaguing me for months (unhappy tenants) was resolved in matter of days. God bless Marlo and his responsiveness and forthright honesty."

"The roofing company that I have used as a builder/developer for over 45 years retired, so I took the strenuous time to research and interview nine local roofing companies that all had good ratings online. Jesse with Elite roofing was not your standard salesperson selling me a bill of goods. Yes, we spoke the same language being in the same trades, but Jesse explained what would be forthcoming from his team if chosen. This conversation alone was unlike the other eight companies that provided estimates. We also discussed metal trim edging that is detailed and more functional than what was initially installed. Not only was Jesse bid competitive with other like same roofing companies, but Jesse’s teams also followed through after completion was like, who conducts business like this anymore meaning a separate guy showed up the day after completion to inspect the work completed and spent a good 20 minutes walking around my roof checking all roof to wall flashing, edge flashing, vents and so on. The inspector also inspected neighboring yards to make sure debris was not present. I have a very dark grey/black colored home with a new black roof system that now has a Bad-***-Gothic look with the unique metal edging and raised ridge vent that extends past the fascia board trim that adds detail and thankfulness that I hired the right company to take care of all of my future projects! This company cares about the end-user and whose actions genuinely speak volumes over words. I should have purchased pizza the last day to thank the team. You will feel the same way if you chose Elite Roofing, which truly lives up to the name of being SUPERIOR to others. I wish I had a drone to send pictures!"

"Mr. Ramos and his crew did a great job replacing our rambler's roof. From the initial estimate to the final stage, he was communicative, punctuate and the result was beautiful. The quote was extremely reasonable as well, and he was there personally for the whole installation to ensure everything gets done right. Our front patio is prone to cracks and he also made arrangements with the delivery company to make sure no risk or damage is done. He also pointed out we need to install additional ventilation to ensure roof life and we trust that he will do a great job on this as well."

"Oh, The Joys Of Home Ownership We purchased our home in 2014 and since then there have been a series of things demanding our attention. This last winter (2016-2017) there were torrential downpours which brought with them two small roof leaks. So when we received an offer from Angie’s List for a new roof from Premier Construction Services, we decided to pursue it. Mike emailed me the next day to make arrangements to come out and take a look at the roof and discuss the project. Right away I could tell he was very passionate about his work and that it was important we thoroughly understood the different materials and techniques used to properly install a roof. He gave us several options at various price levels so that we could decide what would work best for us. We went with the TruDefinition Duration Shingles that come with the Total Protection roofing system by Owens Corning. Since we are on Social Security, this investment stretched our budget to the max. We are thoroughly impressed with Mike and his team, their professionalism and commitment to satisfaction. Now that the job is completed, we are very glad we listened to Mike and took his expert advice. Mike and his crew finished the job (32 squares) in 3 days including tear-off and didn’t cut any corners; replacing all the flashing, ridge and roof vents. During the entire process you could tell that it was extremely important to Mike that we were completely satisfied with the work and was delighted to answer any questions or concerns we had. Personally, we think Premier describes Mike and his crew and the job they did. Well done!"

"It went really well. The weather didn't want to cooperate with us in the morning, but the crew came out later that day to get the job done. The roof was cleaned and received a moss treatment and the cleanup was amazing. The crew even racked up the leaves on my lawn with the debris from the roof and hauled it away. All my neighbors were very impressed."

"I loved my interaction with Pro-Long. First, Tony the estimator came to my house to do a detailed inspection prior to the estimate. Second, Mike Sunde, the roofer, did removed the moss, twigs, and leaves form my roof with remarkable speed and a very clean job. He picked up all the mess from the group. He helped manage my expectations well. One other company was going to send 3 roofers to get the job done, and was way more expensive. Pro-Long wasn't the cheapest or most expensive quote. But the people I contacted were very professional. Living in a wooded area, I've struggled to find a good roofer company. I believe I've found the roofer I will retain for years,.... Pro-Long!"

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Monroe, WA

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
