Get matched with top wood flooring refinish pros in Monrovia, CA

"I found Always improve flooring on Angi and am more than happy to add another 5star review. We wanted all our solid oak floors refinished and then have new oak floors added in two new additional rooms that were built. This required matching and blending in new wood with 40 year old wood in places. In stark contrast to the general contractor we hired, Juan was very courteous, professional and genuinely took pride in his work. He and his team worked very fast to finish everything in just a few days. He was proactive and checked in with me with any questions he had. I couldn't be happier with the new flooring."

"Came and did what was needed to repair floor that someone else screwed up. Now waiting for him to come back to sand and refinish older original hard wood floor. When out of his way to change date to my requests to come sooner. Very nice trustworthy man. He came back sanded and refinished an original older white oak hardwood floor. 3 coats of varnish. It never looked so good!!! Beautiful floor. Love it. Great job. Knows what he is doing. Real professional and very nice too."

"I am very happy with Juan's work and I am so happy to have finally gotten my wood floors refinished. They look great! And it was truly painless for us.... we just had it done while we were on vacation. No fuss and no muss. I am happy to recommend Juan and look forward to another project!"

"This guy I the best. Worth every penny. My floors had holes and were shaking. My mom is in a wheel chair so this is not acceptable. Not only did he reinforce and level the floor he also recommended the right type of flooring. He truly went above and beyond. I would give him 10 stars it I could. ✨️"

"Let me tell you about Amir he is a stand up and honest guy!! When all architect companies wanted to take me for thousands of dollars Amir instead gave me the tools (knowledge) of what needed to be done to get the site and floor plan done for the city. You don’t meet many business people that will give you honest free advice so Amir is greatly I meant greatly appreciated for his assistance and guidance in getting my site and floor plan completed for the city. Will definitely work with Amir again!!!!"

"Harvey was very professional and did a great job refinishing our floors. I wouldn’t hesitate to use him again on future projects."

"We set an appointment for an estimate, but when he was forced to stay late at another job, he called me to let me know. Once he got here, he was very down-to-earth, honest, and and told me that the problem was the carpet, not the floors. He gave me a reasonable quote for the work."

"We received several bids on the work we needed done. Mario Diaz Flooring was not the cheapest bid and not the most expensive. We chose them because of their ratings and the confidence Mario had that we would love the end product. Our situation was not just refinishing original hardwood floors, putting adding a brand new 300 square foot oak floor with a 70-year-old existing oak floor that flow together. When we pulled up the carpet, we had a lot of stains in the wood, some fresh and wet from my daughter's dog when they visit us, which I was not aware existed. I was amazed that Mario’s crew got all the stains out and the new room they added matched the old oak floors so well. They did a beautiful job. They showed up everyday and completed the job in a timely manner. The crew worked very hard and were very polite. A few companies that quoted the project seemed to make a big deal about adding a brand new room with the original oak flooring we had. Mario assured us we would be happy with the end product and gave us confidence in his craftsmanship. He said our floors will look pretty much the same because he uses solid oak similar to what was used in the 1950s (newer but oak). He uses a process to age the wood to help it match the original. We were amazed how the floors matched up so perfectly. They laid it down piece-by-piece (no fake wood or prefab material). We absolutely love the look of our new floors. I will never cover up these beautiful wood floors with carpet ever again. I encourage people to get multiple bids and have conversations with the companies. It is time consuming but worth the effort or just skip them all and call Mario Diaz' company. If you get multiple bids, you will figure out fast who is taking advantage and highballing the project."

"Joe and his crew did an absolutely amazing job on the floors. The original flooring had heavy wear, discoloration, and years of damage, 30 years of real living and use. After Joe came in, he brought the floors back to life better than they have ever looked. He and his team are true professionals in both efficiency and knowledge. I would highly recommend Joe to anyone and everyone looking to have their floors done."

"Art repaired 2 problem areas on my hardwood floor. Very pleased with the work and especially how careful they were to clean everything before they left. Arrived on time & had the tools & materials necessary so no time wasted fetching things from hardware stores. They will be doing another project for me and certainly recommend their work"
