"Everything was great except the price to replace a toilet shut off valve was $700 --- way too expense/overpriced."

"I spoke with Mike Pepi on the phone, he sounds a little gruff but in person he is very proffesional and explains everything if you are willing to listen. He explained hydro jetting, as a method of removing the waterproof slime that coats the cesspool walls and prevents it from draining. Don't expect a pump truck to arrive at your house, the tools for hydro jetting fit in a truck more suitable for plumbers. My house has an iron cover on the septic tank so Mike removed the cover and cold see the drain was not visible and then he asked me to flush all the toilets while he listened to the plumbing vent on the side of the house, he could tell from the sound that the water was not clearing the drain pipe. He found the cover, which was about three feet deep and pulling off the cover it broke into pieces and from the black color in the cracks he could tell that it had been soaking in the water for some time, looking inside I could see the cesspool was almost at the top. Mike set up a pump with two hoses one extracted water from the pool and the other fit with a long pipe jetted high pressure water back into the cesspool. As he started jetting the walls of the tank the water began draining and dropped way down probably 8 to 10 feet (the pool is three rings deep). Mike then called his partner and he arrived with a new cover and extension collar to bring the cover up another 18 inches or so. <br /> Hydro Jetting was new to me, but if it allows the cesspool to drain then it's fixing the problem rather than simply making space in a clogged system. <br /> If you don't hear from me again on this assume it's working fine. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Mark and his team were everything I was hoping for and more. He put french drains in my basement along with digging a window well outside and installing a sump pump. Clean, professional and done within 2 days. I cannot say enough about this company. Frankly, it was refreshing to finally see someone with integrity and superb customer service. I recommend them every chance I get."

"Our electrical utility had a power surge which damaged much electronic equipment, including the back-up battery for our basement pump. I called AM Shield and they initially explained how I might avoid a service call. When that did not work, they assigned a technician who arrived on time this morning. He was professional and knowledgeable, quickly diagnosing the problem. The technician replaced fuses and a transformer plug. They charged for labor only, very generously providing the parts at no cost. I was relieved that a new battery was not required. I highly recommend AM Shield. They successfully completed 2 waterproofing jobs for us in the past and it is always a please to work with their staff."

"E & M came for an estimate and diagnosed the problem promptly. No sales pitch or lengthly discussion, just explained that foundation cracks had to be repaired in the backyard behind the basement, they needed to excavate and fill in the dirt. They charged 1/4 of what the previous company charged to dig trenches and install a sump pump which didn't totally keep the boiler room dry. After living in the house for 20 years the boiler room has stayed dry finally, no need for a handyman to repair anything after their work either! They accepted the Angie's List coupon. Several rainstorms later: fantastic price and great result only wish I had found them sooner."

"when tech showed up the dryer seemed to be working and heating however it did not when I called, seemed the heating element was cracked creating and off and on working condition. I went ahead to repair the problem by purchasing a new heating element. I was surprised however that the tech expected me to pay in full before he ordered the part and repaired the problem, but I did using my credit card knowing if there was a issue the credit card co. would have my back, The part was order and Alex fixed it as soon as it came in and was great"

"On the morning of Christmas Eve, I discovered that both sump pumps had failed in my basement and there was about an inch of water on the floor. I called my usual plumber and left a message. I was concerned about finding someone given the holidays, so I then I looked up plumbers on Angie's List and found that Right One had good reviews. I called and Dennis answered. He said he would check on availability of staff and called me back in 15 minutes to let me know he had someone who would arrive shortly. They guy was at my house about a half hour later. He was joined by a second plumber who finished up the job for him. Both were nice and very professional. I would recommend them. <br />"

"Outstanding job!! Great experience (compared to previous Roto Rooter guy). Leo showed up promptly and quickly cleared line that previous guy said couldn't be done without expensive and extensive repair. Leo did job for estimate given- didn't try to upsell. Also cleaned up neatly. Would always use this company. <br />"
