"Horrible experience. Mr. Cattani started out like a professional -- but then proved to be highly unreliable. We were subjected to cancellations, unkept promises, no communication, and no work done on our job after 4 months of waiting He gave us a quote for a simple one-day job on June 17 and, after getting one more estimate, we agreed to his offer. It is now the end of October, and Mr. Cattani has not found the time to get to us. He cancelled twice, the first time for a family issue and the second because he got shingles. We understood both times, and we were okay with him needing 2 weeks to get well. After 4 weeks and no word from him, we emailed. He said he was back to work and would contact us next week to reschedule. He lied. When we contacted him, he said he had a family issue and work-related problems but that he would get to us in a week or two. He also said: I completely understand if you choose not to use me but would still love to earn your business. So we decided to give him another chance. Well, he did not get in touch and he did nothing to earn our business After waiting and waiting for him to respond, we emailed, requesting a firm date. No answer. We sent a last email to cancel the job. Not a peep. If our job was too small and he preferred bigger, more lucrative jobs, then he should have told us to try someone else. Caveat emptor!"

I saw him place the weatherstripping perfectly, and both this and the paint look excellent. As he works, he explains the steps of what he is doing. "I hired FlueTech to repair my discontinued gas log fireplace based on the good reviews here. I had a completely different experience with them, feeling they were either grossly incompetent, or possibly dishonest (in order to sell a more expensive service). I'm not sure which, but either way I give them an F rating for total failure. They said the PILOT LIGHT didn't go on (it did but they didn't bother to put a match to it as the affixed label clearly states to do), that it would be $1500 to repair IF they could find original manufacturer parts, but they couldn't (working parts are readily available on the Internet from other manufacturers). Their only resolve for me was to put in a new insert at a cost of $10,000-$15,000 with permits. I declined. I recounted the above to a manager who waived the bill for the service call and said he'd look in to my complaint and call me back. Never heard from him again, after almost 3 weeks. I then hired MR. CHIMNEY. Mike was knowledgeable, honest and quickly diagnosed my unit and got it working. It was a simple fix, I just needed a new receiver and remote at a cost of $369. Even though my model is older and discontinued he came prepared with all the parts on his truck. I highly recommend using Mr. Chimney and steering clear of FlueTech."
