"I will call this “The Good, The Bad and the Ugly review” as I am breaking this review into the 3 teams that we had – 2 very good and done quickly and 1 inferior with the most time spent at our house – thus the overall 3 star grade. The Good • Roofing Team – Grade: A. Efficient, good job, found virtually no nails or roofing materials on the ground • Gutters – Grade: A. One man crew but he knew what he was doing and provided good suggestions for modifying our water flow. The Bad • Siding & Window Team – Grade: C to D. Not sure how they were trained but they didn’t seem to understand some common construction basics. A few of the many examples – o They nailed the siding on wrong and had to start over. o They almost ripped the 120V electrical outlet off the house without turning off the breaker but it was the weekend and we happened to be in the garden and saw them. o Installed the dryer vent wrong twice – once painting it shut and the next time putting on a vent with a label on it saying “not for use with clothes dryers” due to the pre-installed screen. The Ugly • Siding & Window Team – Used caulk as touch up paint on LP Smartside (or just used the siding to clean off their dirty fingers?) – leaving random “chicken pox marks” all over new siding. Garage, driveway and all 4 sides of our house were filled with equipment and garbage for the length of the project. Not the crew to have if you have children or pets – they left old saw blades and other sharp objects around the garage entrance and the house. I didn’t expect a spotless home every night but I didn’t expect to be living with this much disarray with minimal clean up each night, even after asking the supervisor to improve pickup of at least garbage and sharp objects in the garage and the common walking paths. Nor did we expect to be spending our fall cleaning caulk off the “maintenance free” siding and re-painting it and installing our outside boxes correctly. I will give the owner credit for realizing that his siding and window crew did inferior work and giving us a discount on our bill. None-the-less, I am rating the services provided based on the quality of the work done."

"AWESOME EXPERIENCE. Chase and Bruce provided a fully detailed inspection and estimate for my roof and other home repairs. Great product, perfect install, wonderful customer service, and my insurance agent says they are the best. Highly recommend Excel Renovations without any hesitation."

"Bormann Brothers had the lowest rate of several companies I received quotes from, so I went with them. They showed up right on time and prepped the house, moving deck furniture and protecting plants. I can't believe how fast they completed the roof and it looks fantastic. When I put up Christmas lights, I investigated the roof and they did all the little details perfectly. High quality job at low cost and no hassle."

"I cannot say how much I am impressed with this company and the quality of their work and clean up when done. They have totally exceeded my expectations and would absolutely recommend them to anybody needing roofing help."

"I had a great experience with All Ears Roofing. They did a full roof replacement for me and the entire process was smooth and professional. James Manchac was extremely helpful, kind, and considerate throughout everything. Highly recommend this company if you want honest people who do great work."

"Tom was very responsive and a conscientious contractor. He came out to the house within a couple of days to make an estimate. He was exactly on time. He climbed up a ladder to examine issues he would encounter while making the estimate, and he was knowledgeable on gutters. He made another appointment for us to select colors and then arrived with array of colors from which to choose. It was 3-4 weeks before he got to doing the job, but he had said they would continue on with doing gutters up until the end of the year. It took a couple of days (cold ones at that) and I was not here when work was performed, but they did clean everything up in the end. The price was in the middle of the bids that we received. All in all they did a good job and they would get my recommendation.

"We had a low maintenance aluminum railing deck put up. The work was excellent. The crew was very polite. Austin was great to work with. Work was done on time and efficient. I would hire him again."

"They helped arrange financing for replacing the original shingle roof. However, I was told the workers would arrive at my house between 6 and 6:30 am because of the Phoenix heat and the workers arrived at about 5:30 am without advance notice. I was also told that the work would take three days, happily it only took two."
