"Dan Keller and team do a very good job. They replace my roof as well as installed a solar panel system. They provide timely responses, show up on time and are priced reasonably. They are also very good at follow up on post installation matters."

"I would highly recommend Manny and his team to anyone in need of roofing services!! Manny was great at communicating about the project and making suggestions. The team arrived on time, worked efficiently and left everything clean. The quality of their work was excellent! Another family member had used Manny in the past and was also extremely happy with their new roof!"

"My issue was water running down between the exterior and interior wall.  The contractor diagnosed the cause as frost getting in under old roof shingles that needed to be replaced.  Old roof was less than 20 years old and was only one layer deep.  The other part of the issue was poor insulation in the attic.  The recommended solution was to replace the roof on house and install an air vent and blow insulation into the attic.  Replace the roof on the garage was incidental since they were going to be there anyway but was not considered a part of our problem or our solution for the water.
The steps were:
  •  - Remove the entire shingled roof and a portion of the plywood that got wet.
  •  - Blow insulation into the attic through the opening created by removing the plywood to avoid having to go through the house.
  •  - Install new state of the art roof with barrier and shingles.
  •  - Replace garage roof
  •  - Replace trim around house and garage.
faction to heart. Workers showed up on time every day.
All the work went as planned for the insulation, house roof, vent and trim.
The garage roof presented more challenges.  The trim was put on in two pieces, because "they did not have the right trim cutter to use on piece".  Nails were placed all over the trim and looked very unprofessional.  House walk around also showed issues with the finishing touches on the main roof but mostly the garage.  That was a bit frustrating since we only did the garage because they were there anyway, arrugghh.
One call to the Company and our Salesman was back at the house, reviewed our photos and did a walk around as well.  Within one week all the issues were resolved.  I was pleasantly surprised that the issues were addressed so quickly and completely.  Good company that clearly takes customer satisfaction to heart.  I believe that any contractor will have issues with customer expectation compared to work performed.  The real test of a quality contractor is how they mitigate those issues.  Acorn did a very good job in this regard.  I would recommend them to anyone looking for work on their roof or insulation.

"They came sticky and showed up on time. A little higher priced but they did everything they needed to fixing or gutters and replacing one that fell last winter."

"We used American Home Remodeling for a new roof, gutters and siding on our home and it was the most stress-free experience we have ever had with a contractor. Nick Fiore was our project manager and we have nothing but great things to say about him and this company. Nick was very honest, personable, and detail oriented. He took the time to explain our options, answered all our questions and all phone calls were always promptly returned. He was super patient when I kept going back and forth over color choices for both the roof and the siding or whether to choose vinyl vs. composite…we decided to go with composite based on Nick’s recommendation - amazing product – so happy we went with it! We acquired other quotes when we were in the preliminary stages of deciding on a company, and as is usually the case, some prices were higher and some were lower. Right off the bat, Nick took the time to sit with us and go over all the contracts to make sure we were comparing “apples to apples”. His trustworthiness was evident from the start and though he wasn’t our lowest quote, we were extremely happy to have chosen him when the job was completed. We were not nickel and dimed. The price he quoted us was what we ended up paying! We were always kept in the loop when it came to material delivery and the job was started and completed earlier than expected. All of the work crews were hard-working, professional and always consulted with us if they had a question. I would not hesitate to recommend American Home Remodeling – the best decision we made when it came to this project! Amazing transformation!"

"I love my new home .. We literally touched every room and added a new bathroom and closet. The electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems were updated. We got a new kitchen, new roof, new windows, and new siding. We reframed the front elevation to give the home a more modern look. And we did this during the pandemic. It’s done now and I am very happy."

"The salesman, Bill Percy, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He explained the whole roofing process in detail. It sounded so good that we thought the price would be higher. But it ended up to be a very reasonable price for very high quality materials and work. All work was completed in one long day. Everyone was safe and professional. The yard looked spotless afterwards and the roof looks great. Another person came to inspect the next day, in case we had any problems or issues, which we did not. Would highly recommend this company."

FAQs for metal roofing installation and replacement projects in Montville, NJ

Copper roofs can last 100 years or more, so you’re likely never to need another replacement. Regular maintenance, including annual inspections and occasional cleaning, keeps them in top shape. Work with a licensed roofer for any repairs or inspections to be sure the roof stays watertight and performs as expected.

Cleaning a copper roof averages $460, sealing costs an average of $3 per square foot, and broader repairs cost an average of $6,500.While those figures may seem steep compared to simple maintenance, they’re still far less than the cost of a complete replacement. Staying on top of annual cleanings and quick fixes helps keep costs down and allows the roof to reach its 100-year lifespan.

That green hue is a natural patina that forms as copper reacts with air and moisture. In coastal areas, it can appear in five to seven years; in dry regions, it may take up to 14. The patina shields the copper, so letting it develop is perfectly fine. If you prefer the shiny look, you can have a pro apply a clear sealant and recoat it as needed.

You can paint a copper roof, but it will block the natural patina and may shorten the roof’s lifespan. Once paint goes on, future upkeep becomes more involved—you’ll need to scrape and repaint every few years. Most homeowners skip painting and opt for cleaning or a clear sealant to keep the copper looking its best.

Copper holds up well in nearly every climate. In a humid region, it naturally resists fungus, moss, and algae. In snowy or windy areas, it sheds precipitation and stays firmly in place, as long as it’s installed with room to expand and contract. That flexibility helps the roof stay leak-free through temperature swings and harsh weather year after year.
