"Called just before Christmas when putting up outside decoration lights, because front porch light where lights were plugged in stopped working.  everything was tested and the socket was found to be defective.  It was replaced and I got the lights up for the season. <br /> They were very cooperative on short notice to work this small job into there schedule.  Very pleased with the work.  I told them I would write a review, but frankly forgot about it till now. <br />"

"Erwin and his son were very nice and took time to explain things. In addition to giving me a price for the light fixtures jobs that needed doing, Erwin suggested some big price jobs that I had not called him out for. One of his suggestions was to replace the 200 amp panel for a newer one, at a cost of between $3600 to $4500 dollars. Subsequently, I had another electrician come and he said there was no need for a new panel, since it was GE (reliable brand who still sold replacement parts) and we were having no problems. Erwin also said the house needed to be grounded. That would cost $900 (or $990 - not sure). I said that someone had already grounded the large appliances. I showed him the grounding line outside. He then said the wire/cord they used was not up to the current standard. But the city inspector had approved it (within the past two years). So, their suggestions that I have higher priced jobs ( new panel and grounding) that were not really necessary made me hesitate to work with them for the simpler jobs I had called them out to price."

"I was very impressed with the service. I am a photography student so I work with a lot of heavy weight programs and very large files. I also do a ton of research along with my school work. After one year of using my brand new laptop for school, I had NO space left on my computer, it was crashing constantly, files were corrupting, and of course, everything was taking forever to load. I called HelloTech for help. They were very understanding of my need for a very complete and fast repair. They were very prompt, diagnosed the issues with my computer, then gave me options on how it could be repaired and modified to accommodate my needs, along with price quotes for each option. Very professional, we worked out a plan that fixed every issue that I had. I am more than happy with my "new" laptop and I would most definitely hire them again!"

"Bryan was great! We had Bryan install a new chimney liner a few years ago which was perfect and prompt. This time Bryan came out and identified we needed a new chimney cap and several bricks were loose. He recommended the repairs and said he would repoint all of the bricks from the roof line up. We had a fairly tight request schedule and Bryan was extremely flexible in working what he called a “smaller job” into his schedule for us. The project was started and finished in one day and except for the Great improvement in the chimney, no one can tell he was here. He cleaned all up. We will definitely call Bryan at Smith Exteriors if we have other needs."

"The technician was punctual, fast to get the job done, and very clear about the work that would need to be performed and cost.  The coupon from Mr. Sparky was $79 for $200 in electrical work.  Mr. Sparky prices everything by the job, not hour.  Everything is a flat fee.  So, if the work doesn't take too long, Mr. Sparky wins.  If the job takes longer than expected, the customer will have likely paid less than they would have if they had used an electrician that charges by the hour.  To install the new electrical box for the ceiling light (using one rated for a fan with a spreader bar), the service was categorized as "1-2 switch legs for a fan light."  The flat price for Mr. Sparky to do this is $384.  I had already paid the $79 for $200 in work, so I still owed another $184, due at the time of service.  So, the total out-of-pocket cost was $263 for a $384 quoted job.  This seemed reasonable.  I probably could have shopped around to find someone to do it for less, but I needed it done in a hurry.  I can't complain about the work or the technician at all.  Both were great!  I'll likely use Mr. Sparky again, knowing I'm paying more, but getting what I want, when I want it, and top quality. <br />"
