"I was contacted the same day I submitted my inquiry and had a scheduled appointment with in 24 hours. Finest Chimney contacted me 25 minutes before they arrived and they were exactly on time. Cleaning took about 20 minutes and they were very thorough and professional. They even gave me some feed back about future roof/chimney repairs. I will definitely call Finest Chimney Sweep for our future needs."

"Chimney Doctor gets a "A" for the actual chimney work and a "F" for clean-up (which averages out to a "C"). The mortar between the bricks of our chimney was beginning to deteriorate. We hired Chimney Doctor to tuckpoint most of the chimney and perform other minor work re: the cap. The work itself was done in a reasonable amount of time and looks great. That said, the chimney is located right next to our new composite deck that we had built a few months ago. I emphasized several times in writing to the company that the deck was the largest investment we had made in the house and we were very sensitive about protecting it. They acknowledged this sentiment multiple times, also in writing. Despite these requests, the furniture and the deck surfaces were a complete mess after they finished their work. The workers allowed the dust to settle on the deck and, due to the high humidity, this dust adhered itself to every surface. The company acknowledged this issue and did send an employee days later to clean the deck. Unfortunately, this was ineffective. It took me hours over several days (I had to wait for the deck to dry each time to see spots I missed) of power washing and scrubbing to get the deck clean again and to clean each item of furniture. When I informed them of this situation, they did apologize but provided no other refund or resolution. I recognize this process creates dust and that's just part of the work, but I think they could've done much more to either proactively protect the deck, to suggest that WE should've put some tarps down on our own, or to pay for a professional 3rd party company to come in and clean up. All told, if your chimney is nowhere near a nice patio/deck/etc., then by all means hire Chimney Doctor. If it is near an area you're sensitive about, then I'd look elsewhere or at least be prepared for a large clean-up effort on your part."

"Capitol came out on time, and a nice gentleman named Abraham and a helper came out to give an estimate for the work. He spent about 45 minutes looking around, and to my surprise, issued a bid on the spot. The bid was reasonable and actually included a full rebuild of one chimney from scratch, including building a firebox. I was really tempted because the two other bids I received wanted to sell me a prebuilt firebox at considerable cost (almost nobody hand-builds fireboxes anymore, it seems), and I liked the idea of getting a brand new chimney as I had lots of brick damage from years of thermal cycling. However, the risk is much higher in buying this type of work because your chimney performance is completely tied to the company's ability to properly design a replacement chimney and build it properly in all its details. So, I asked for a portfolio to see their rebuild work--i.e., not repairs, but work where they had fully rebuilt chimneys, They sent a few jobs with perhaps a couple of "after" photos each, which did not engender confidence that they were proud of their work. I would think a big chimney rebuild should have had all kinds of process photos, pictures of the firebox, etc. So, I asked for two references who had rebuilds done who could vouch for the work, and that was the last I heard from this company over a week ago. So, I'm not entirely confident that their full rebuild customers are happy, given I haven't seen a single review on this website for a large job like mine. As tempted as I am to take their reasonable offer, I am not entirely sure they can do a full rebuild I would be happy with. Not having a portfolio and no references is not a good sign."

"These folks were great! Super fast. Excellent price! (I did have an Angie's list coupon which provided a great discount.) I noticed that my chimney cap had been blown off recently, not sure how long it had been like that. Priddy Chimney had a crew in my area and could do the install SAME DAY! The team was quick, professional, and cleaned up after themselves (unlike some contractors). Quick and easy job for them. Great price for me. I would certainly hire them again!"

"Excellent. Tim S. inspected roof leak and at my request also checked condition of roof and attic for estimate of cost of new roof in addition to fabricating new roof of gazebo. Estimate was emailed to me within 2 days. Installation of roof went well with workers coming in early and leaving early evening. I was really impressed how hard working they all were, and how much thought and attention they put into their work particularly in putting the skylights and constructing the new roof on the gazebo. The project manager Giovanni personally attended to my concerns by measuring the gutters so I could purchase new gutter covers in place of the old ones that they had removed. The foreman really went out of his way on the last day by going over our yard for nails and debris after several workers had already done prior to him. I received a thank you card from Tim S."

"Day of inspection, they arrived promptly at 8:30 am. They inspected both the fireplace and furnace/hot water heater flues as well as the exterior of the chimney and described what work needed to be done. When asked, they explained in detail why the work was required, what needed to be done immediately, and what could wait. The crew was courteous and professional. One of them even took the time to give me instructions on how to set and light a fire in the fireplace when I explained I didn't know how. The work was performed over the first two Saturdays in January. I actually had to leave them alone there as something had come up requiring my attendance. When I got home, they had completed all but the smoke chamber work and that was because they thought they would have to go in from the outside requiring that they remove bricks from the chimney on the outside and they did not have brick with them that matched my brick so they didn't want to do the work until they were sure they had the right brick to replace what they removed. I thought that was very thoughtful of them to want to ensure that the brick was correct. So we rescheduled for them to come back the next Saturday although I again had to be away from the house again because of a prior commitment. They had no problems with this and were even nice enough to use the back door and ensure it was locked before they left. I actually arrived home just as they were finishing. They showed me what they had done as well as a video one had taken before the work to show me the holes inside of the smoke chamber wall that necessitated the work. They also showed me where they had to take out and replace three bricks in the chimney and I could barely tell the difference from the old brick. All personnel were very courteous and professional. They didn't leave any mess in or outside the house. As almost all of the work was inside the chimney or up on top of the chimney, it is difficult for me to comment as to how well it was done but it appears to have been done in a professional manner so I am confident it was done correctly. Before agreeing to the work, I researched the company and what they recommended doing and felt confident given their reputation that their work would be adequate. At this point, I am completely satisfied with the work done and the manner in which it was done."

"They don't do estimates as they have fixed prices. $150.00 for chimney and fireplace, prices differ with inserts, etc.  Since we have 2, he discounted the cost to $250.  They arrived on time, with everything they needed to accomplish the job.  They were friendly and efficient and took great care to protect my floor and furniture. While on the roof they noticed that there were no caps on the chimney, and asked if I would like them installed.  After discussing the caps and prices I told them to proceed.  it was something I had forgotten about when I scheduled the appoinment.  We had decided to do that as chimney swifts nested there every year.  The caps were stainless steel, and $100. each. There was no pressure to get them, just a straight forward question. Our chimneys are very tall, one over 3 stories, so I was delighted I didn't have to call them back a second time.  They finished quickly, and left no trace that they had been there. <br /> I can highly recommend them, and will use them again. <br />"

"Tom replaced an old metal roof with a standing seam copper roof on our home addition. We really enjoyed working with him and Lyon's. They do absolutely beautiful work (I will try to add a photo this week). More generally, Tom is patient and happy to answer client questions and I had a lot of questions. He also is incredibly prompt in responding to his clients (including late in the afternoon and on weekends). We plan to work with him on smaller projects in the future."

"I called at 8:00 this morning asking to have someone come as soon as possible to fix a leaky roof. (I chose Corley because it had replaced our roof 11 years ago.) Mr. Corley said he would try to squeeze us in today; when I checked back 90 minutes later, he said someone would be here by noon. At just about noon, an employee named Melvin was at our door. In the pouring rain, Melvin found a hole in the flat portion of the roof (not the portion that Corley previously replaced) and made a temporary repair. Melvin could not have been nicer and he refused to charge us; he will send us an estimate for fixing the flat roof. We were so relieved and grateful; it's continuing to rain outside (a flood alert has been issued), but for now the leak has been stopped."
