"From beginning to end it went really well. Greg is a walking encyclopedia of trees and good practical advice on how to manage them. His proposal was clearly written and lower than two other firms. The crew was right on time, wasted no time getting set up and taking the tree down, and removed a large limb from another tree that fell while they were working on the dead tree. They climbed up about 50 feet in a twin trunk tree and installed a cable between the twins to help stabilize the lesser twin. Very pleased with them, enough to recommend them to my neighbor who also used them for a dead tree in their front yard."

"Late on the evening of June 30, strong storms rolled through the District.  Those storms caused an approximately 75ft Poplar tree in the rear of our home to fall.  Thankfully, a neighboring tree of similar height prevented it from landing on our neighbor's home.  Before the sun came up, we began searching for tree services and came across Tri-State Tree Service.  We called at approximately 7:30am which is the time the company is listed as being open for business.  Mr. Kerwin Harmon answered the phone, listened to our tree issue and indicated he would come to our home within an hour.  Within an hour, Mr. Harmon was at our home assessing the fallen tree. He discussed his plan for tree removal which included job start time, duration and price.  By the end of the day, the tree had been removed and the wood was neatly stacked in our yard in a predetermined location.  A large tree stump had also be removed at our request.  The entire process was professional and smooth.  We will absolutely use Tri-State Tree Service again.

"I contacted Willie to have an azelea tree trimmed. Willie let me know right away it was best to wait to trim the tree until it was no longer blooming. I appreciated him being honest. Willie checked my other trees and let me know they were being eaten away by caterpillar nests. Willie and his team did an excellent job of trimming down those trees and cleaning up the nests. They arrived on time and were very professional. They cleaned up all the debris and left my yard as clean as they found it. I highly recommend Willie for your lawn care needs. "This work took place eleven months ago, but that gives us the ability to say that everything Kurt’s team planted looks great and is growing nicely, except one bush that is struggling, which Kurt agreed to replace without hesitation. We have been in our house for 22 years, and finally got around to replacing the crummy landscaping and walkway the developer put in. Distinct Landscapes installed a paver walkway, and a complete set of bushes, flowers and a crape myrtle tree. The work was done very well and within budget, and the crew distinguished itself by how well they cleaned up the site. The spacing between plantings to allow for future growth seems perfect. Most of all we like Kurt. He is low-key and friendly, offers solid, knowledgeable opinions when asked, and never applies any sort of sales pressure. We would use Distinct Landscapes again, and recommend them without hesitation."

"Tyson's did an excellent job from start to finish. The crane makes the work go faster and looks safer for the workers. Some delays to the starting date were unavoidable because of rainy weather, but once they came out they worked very quickly to remove the trees. Our large trees were all oaks that were 15-25 feet from the house in a heavily wooded back yard. They also went above and beyond by removing some wood left from a prior tree service and fixing damage that the other workers did to surrounding trees. Tyson's cleaned the yard very well and there was no damage (again, unlike the other tree service we hired this summer, which was a horrible experience). Our neighbors also hired Tyson's recently and had a great experience, so between that, their use of a crane, and the reasonable price, it was an easy decision. So glad we went with them. I can't recommend them enough. They are our new go-to tree company now."
