"Angelo & team were amazing to work with. From design to implementation, it was a smooth experience. We had the same crew working at our house every day- the guys were friendly, polite, tolerated my 5 year old daughter asking them what they were doing each day (LOL). Their work was top notch- no corners cut. Every day they left my house clean, nothing left out- all materials put away and the rooms were safe for my kids and dog to be in. We couldn’t be happier with the work done. "

"Roberto and his team helped us select, paint, and install a large custom french door for our home office. Roberto understood our vision, made the process simple, and handled the project efficiently. Roberto was quick to respond, and showed up exactly when he said he would to make sure his team was on time and understood what we wanted. We are so happy with the way the door came out, and highly recommend Roberto and his team at Monk's."

"I’ve been a customer of Wilber’s for several years. Up till now I’ve always found them to be reasonable in price, professional, reliable and trustworthy. I don’t know what’s happened but, they are no longer the company they used to be. I recently hired Wilbers to repair a loose newel post at the bottom of my stairs. When Danny the estimator came he explained that it might be an easy fix or more involved if they needed to install a new 4X4 interior post. Though I requested that he provide estimates for both scenarios he only sent the estimate for the worst case scenario. I let that go because I trusted that they would do the right thing should it prove to be an easy fix. When they arrived it turned out that all that was needed was to replace the wooden board in the basement with a 2 ft. 2x4 and tighten the bolt that runs inside the post. The workers were here for 1 hour and for this Wilber’s decided that a fair price was $820. It seemed absolutely outrageous to me that they would charge me $820 to tighten a bolt so I tried reaching out to Wilber 3 times and asked that he call me back to discuss. Well he never called me back. I can only assume that he knows full well that he did is wrong and is unable to justify his outrageous pricing. It’s sad that Wilber thinks this is how you should treat a loyal customer and it’s certainly disappointing to discover what an unprofessional and unethical person he is. I certainly will never utilize the services of Wilbers ever again and I would caution anyone thinking of hiring them to think twice. Wilber is a man that lacks integrity and therefore someone you cannot trust to do business with."

"Jared was very good with his work and his communication on what issues we had which was 2 leaks in my dining room ceiling and he had to remove and replace my ceiling due to mold and water absorption after he repaired 2 leaks from the aweful cold spell we had that saw temps around 0 degrees F for like 2 weeks. He communicated with my insurance company on our behalf and took pictures and documented everything he had to repair. He said s also very polite and pleasant to be around. I am very happy with his work and have no trouble recommending his company for your repair or upgrade needs."

"John McCarthy is a true professional. I had a small job painting my kitchen and den; doing some patching and finish work. John did a great job and transformed both rooms. His fee was more than fair and he did not go over his estimate. I am satisfied beyond my expectations. I am not going through Home Advisor for the next paint job I have because I will be hiring John to do the work for me."

FAQs for interior trim and decorative moldings repair projects in Morris Plains, NJ

While the terms 'trim' and 'molding' are often used interchangeably, they serve different purposes in home design. Trim refers to materials installed at the junctions of walls, ceilings, and floors, providing a seamless and functional transition. Molding, on the other hand, is a decorative type of trim crafted specifically to enhance your interior's visual appeal. For personalized recommendations that match your home's style, consult a professional contractor.

Repairing or replacing trim throughout your entire home takes six hours. If you're focusing on just a single room or a small section, you can expect the project to take one to two hours to complete. The process includes removing the old trim, carefully measuring and cutting new pieces, and precisely installing them to achieve a polished and lasting result.

Selecting the right trim is key to enhancing your home's overall design. Common options include shoe molding, quarter-round, baseboards, crown molding, chair rails, and picture rails. The best choice depends on where you're installing it, your personal style preferences, and your budget. Consulting a knowledgeable contractor can help you find the perfect trim to elevate your interior's appearance.
