Josh could have very easily exploited our ignorance and suggested a solution purely beneficial to his company that may not have addressed the underlying cause of the problem. Instead, he demonstrated his integrity by realistically assessing the situation even if it would jeopardize the sale. This is commendable particularly in this era where cutthroat business practices are commonplace. I highly recommend Basement Gurus. "The job inside was done. However the drainage put in outside has turned our yard into a swimming pool. We once had a pipe draining to the creek and this was a perfect solution to the rains/weather. These guys came in and put a round small cylinder well. Water pumps up into our yard turning it into a swamp. Called them to come and see the problem they created. Their response $2900 to fix THEIR DAMAGE. I WOULD NEVER RECCOMEND THIS COMPANY!!"

"Ed Marino of Emerald Concrete Llc, came out for free estimate in 2 days after first contact, measured, discussed the sizing, number of steps, and type of finish for the deteriorating existing porch and steps to the front door that had a wooden ramp installed over it by previous owner that also needed to be removed. He gave me a detailed estimate outlining the project, that fit my budget and time frame for completion. It was completed in 2 days, tear out, leveling and framing, with porch roof braces removed and walkable on 3rd day. He and his crew were professional, friendly diligent workers that kept the area tidy while working and immaculatly cleaned up when finished. The finished result is perfect! I am very pleased with Emerald Concrete Llc, they do meticulous job at reasonable cost, I would highly recommend them!"

"JES Foundation Repair (A Groundworks Company) proposed a solution for my basement wall reinforcement, and waterproofing. I accepted, and a date was set. They did not show up and it took 8 phone calls and 24 hours to find out that they weren't confident in their proposal. They increased the scope and added 50% to the cost. Stupidly, I signed again as time was wasting and I didn't want to start over with new vendors. JES completed the work while I was out of town. When I got back, there had been heavy rain and there was more water in my basement then I had ever experienced. I contacted my rep via text (impossible to get through by phone as he always was in "Training" when I called). His response was " That doesn't look good, I'll make some calls". I had to make the calls. JES sent several new employees out and they proposed additional work at ADDITIONAL cost. Unable to get satisfaction from mgmt. Had another foundation company finish the job. Do not use!"

"I had a service appointment on Feb. 28, 2019, for two problems: limited hot water in one shower and cloudy water coming from the kitchen faucet most of the time (also impacting the dishwasher--ie, I can't use the faucet or dishwasher for safe and sanitary cooking or cleaning). The technician fixed the shower, but said he could not identify the problem with the water (which was not cloudy at the time of the appointment) without first taking a water sample and having it run. He opined that it was a water quality issue and needed to be filtered--confirming that it is not safe to use the kitchen faucet or dishwasher (same pipe) until it was fixed. It is April 15 and I have been unable to get an answer from anyone or have anyone come back out to fix the problem. I have emailed and called, and nothing. No explanation of the test results, no follow-up. Highly disappointed. Now I will have to start over with a new company, two months later, so that I can soon start using the water in my kitchen for cooking and cleaning. For someone who cooks often, this has been a nightmare, and it is ruining everything that goes through the dishwasher with the film and residue left behind. I do not recommend this company. Regarding the shower, he was called for an evaluation and estimate, and began fixing the issue without authorization. The cost seemed very high for the repair work, and my landlord wanted to get a few estimates before proceedings with repairs. The technician didn't provide that option. I was ultimately happy to have the shower fixed, but overall not good service."
