"I'm so happy with my roof. <br /> I have been watching it rain and see absolutely no drips, runs or issues!  The solar tubes were installed with expert care.  <br /> One of my solor tubes had an issue, so instead of installing it, they informed me and gave me the option to get a new one. <br /> Wayne and crew were great.  They were flexible to my schedule, and were easy to work with. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"We had asked for the worst case scenario price for the roof and glad we did because that's what it ended up costing us but it could have been even higher except that the company stood behind their bid even when the cost of lumber, labor and disposal of old roofing material was more than they expected. Our roof presented some problems but they stuck to their bid! The work was done quickly--surprised us at how soon it was completed. Workers were for the most part non-English speaking but friendly and courteous and clean. As far as we know everything they said they were going to do to repair the roof was done. We are not roofing experts, nor did we verify that the work being done or material being used was what we had agreed to but we felt like the owner who met with us initially was honest and we trusted that we were being treated fairly and honestly. The area was cleaned before they left each night and cleaned after completing the job. Because they had to pull the old roof sheeting off, I went up into the attic afterwards and there was very minimal debris that was left behind--I had feared the worst but was pleasantly surprised. After I went up on the roof, there was one "soft" spot that I was concerned about. I called the owner and he came out a few days later to check on it. He said it was caused from the direction of the grain of wood on the sheeting and nothing to be worried about. I went back into the attic and could see nothing that looked like a flaw so once again, we have trusted that the owners explanation. He said that he would come back out in about 6 months to reinspect that spot. Happy about that offer! We have had some torrential rains since we got the new roof put on in September and so far--NO LEAKS which is a happy thing for me! Over-all, we were satisfied with the company, the work done and how we were treated."

"He was very thorough and gave me pointers on a remodel as well that I asked questions about once I bought the house. He answered all of my questions and explained each issue that he found. I would definitely hire again."

"Travis Miller, manager of this branch, was very professional and delivered exactly what he said he would. The price, materials, and time frame were explained clearly. We accepted the bid knowing that the work would probably have to be done during the rainy part of the year in November. However, Travis was able to start and finish the work within a week that we had dry weather in November. When he called on a rainy day and said we would have dry weather the next day and that he was going to start the next day, I was dubious but he pegged the dry time exactly right. None of our tenants were disturbed. There was no leaking during the reroofing as it was dry outside. All was cleaned up when Travis' crew was done and there was no damage to our landscaping. His price was very competitive. He was responsive anytime we called or had a question and would arrange to meet with us when we needed. We are out of town owners. His staff was friendly, qualified, and helpful.  Very professionally done and it looks great! <br />"

"We wanted a roof that would last a lifetime. We saw some other roofs out there at home shows, like the rubber roof, and we did not like the look.  We wanted something that would look good and last a lifetime. Our company rep, Ross Peterson, explained the product and the financing to us, and we made the decision to go with interlock.  Ross was great and really helped us make a good decision. <br /> <br /> We are very happy. We think the roof looks great, and the installation crew was awesome. They got it on quick and were very professional and responsive to what we wanted. We would use Interlock again and would recommend them to anyone looking for a good company and a lifetime roof. We love the warranty, and when we get ready to sell the home it will be transferred to the next customer. <br /> <br /> The neighbors have asked us about it too, and when they are ready we think they'll go with Interlock. <br />"

"Our roof was leaking and I called one of the local roofing companies. They never showed up. Then I did Angie's list search and decided to go with Clark's Roofing. He came out, looked at the roof and was ready to start the job immediately. He explained what needed to be done and gave a job quote within a day. His team replaced the roof/gutters within a week in a frigid cold weather (it was January). They cleaned up everything. The roof looks great! Thank you. <br />"

"I would highly recommend h20 roofing. I had 3 contractors give estimates for repairing a water leak. This is the only company in which the owner took the time to investigate the source of the leak by going into the attic and determining the location. Repair was made the next day. Professional, courteous, straightforward on what needed to be done and how for a reasonable fee."

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Morton, WA

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
