"We contracted Chris Arneel and his team to remove several cypress trees that were very tall and close to our house, prior to replacing the roof on our house. We were initially concerned that the trees overhung our and neighbour's house and it might be risky to take them down. But Chris has done an outstanding job. They developed a technique, allowing to cut pieces of trees and safely bring them down. Also, the large brunches were roped away from the house then cut, so that they don't fall on neighbour's property. The result is that we got rid of old tall trees and now have very clean area for planting something else. Chris then removed the stumps as well. I have to say that Chris is a man of a word, he is prompt and delivers exactly what he signed up for. I would not hesitate to contract him next time when I have a need. Thank you Chris Arneel!"

"Communication wasn't amazing. It took me a long time and a few emails to schedule the service, to the point that I was wondering if I'd been had. . On the day arranged I waited and waited only to find they were at my previous address ( which I'd never given them). I'd advise caution with the so-called deals that angie's list offers. I was wrong not to have measured my deck and assumed beased on a hunch that the deal would suffice for an average sized deck when in reality the deal covered a small fraction of the deck, so I had to pay a "regular"i.e., very expensive price for the power wash. I didn't really care that much for the result as far as restoration goes. It was well washed and the person who came to do the service was corteous but a clear sealant was applied and I couldn't tell much of a difference. I do understand this has a lot to do with my not previously measuring the deck and also with my expectation of what my deck wold look like afterwards based on the pictures, but I would say beware. This is it for me as far as angies'list goes. I'll stick with neighborhood recommendations."

"Joe, the owner, was a very good person to work with.  I believe he is very honest, follows through with his commitments and has fair pricing.  He uses a combination of dedicated employees and some long time sub-contractors.  This was my first experience with significant repair work or renovations, but believe that the number of delays, issues etc were minimal.  Ken Hutton Restoration helped get our house back together, and frankly better than before (fresh paint does wonders).  Joe is a very reasonable and hard working guy as is his whole team, and would recommend them.  I found the quality of the work to be very good, and my only reservation is around highly detailed finish carpentry--they had to redo some dental moulding and trim work--but they did redo it to my satisfaction and without any complaint--they really do want you to be pleased with their work.
